This guy knows what's up. There's nothing down there and it's illegal to go and even if you did come here you wouldn't like it.

Yes there definitely aren't any hidden Nazi bases there or anything.

If we actually built cities on it by the end of the 21st century, it would look like this.

Idk why every Antarctica thread brings out flat earth and /misc/tards.

/misc/ is based and makes morons seethe.

not all /misc/ posters are morons but all morons are /misc/ posters

OP here, I'm shocked that posters think making a /misc/ thread or a conspiracy theory thread was my intent. I simply wanted to know what would happen if a human being traveled that far. If their blood would freeze or their head would pressurize and pop, whatever.

the pole of inaccessibility is just the furthest point from the coast
        >what would happen if a human being traveled that far. If their blood would freeze or their head would pressurize and pop, whatever.
like pretty much anywhere else in Antarctica, it's very cold and you'd freeze to death without shelter, it's not that special of a place

Nothing assuming you're wearing the proper gear.
Tough you'll probably get shot or arrested before you can make it there.
It's not like there is low air pressure or some other weird cold there.
Still weird that nobody is allowed to go there despite people already freezing to death on Mt.Everest.

          >Still weird that nobody is allowed to go there despite people already freezing to death on Mt.Everest.
But you are allowed to go there. You need a permit which basically gets you to promise to pack out everything you pack in so it does not turn into the dump that Everest has become. But you are allowed to go. Save your pennies, the gear you'll need is not free, and costs of transporting it down there are high.

Google the kite skiervfrom Australia that skied to the pole of inaccessibility a few years ago. He had an adventurous trip and then went home.

Crossing the ice wall is very difficult, especially since they killed all the guides who knew how.

You will need to be able to scale 500ft vertical ice sheet, so years of ice climbing experience are practically mandatory.

You also need to carry enough supplies for a 2-3 week trek after that, and then climb down the other side, on your own, in unknown possibly horrible weather conditions.

They closed all the tunnels underneath and the gate is guarded at both sides by shoot on sight types.

Afiak they also have constant LIDAR surveillance along the ice wall as well so even if you do make it to the top one side or the other will inform them you are coming and they might just zap you while you are climbing down.

Let's say you do it though, and you somehow make it across the dmz style fortifications and then arrive in the civilization on the other side?

Well basically they are going to figure out you don't belong quickly, since they are evolved Neanderthals and look much different than homosexual sapiens sapiens.

After that they will dissect you and possibly keep your brain alive and linked up to a computer system to drain your memories for intelligence gathering purposes.

It's going to blow people's minds when they find out it'd "cavemen" remote piloting all those pill shaped UFOs. Neanderthals have about 40% more brain capacity than us. They just left the shit ones (the Black folk of neanderthaldom) behind when they migrated beyond the wall.

I don't think I want to know, but kudos if you have the balls of titanium to go through with it, not me. Antarctica creeps me out particularly just pondering the possibility of the winter-over syndrome. Super cold, white, eerily quiet barren places for too long would give me a panic attack. I think I'd literally feel like I was going to die if I managed to be there. I'm sure it's supposed to be an adventure to remember, but sorry I'm the kind of guy that needs trees and the sound of people activity.

You would find the secret pyramids and cities of the first humans. They are still there and have weaponry that can flat out remove you from existence.
Also don't drink the green liquid, it does something funny to you.
