Suggestions? I'm planning a summer trip to the US. I want to stay for 2 weeks in one area without moving around. I plan on walking or taking public transportation. I'm totally open to suggestions. Right now, I'm considering Missoula Montana, Newport Beach California, South Lake Tahoe, Destin Florida, Telluride Colorado, and Park City Utah.
Here is what I'm looking for in order of importance from most to least.
1. Some place that's beautiful
2. Low crime. I want to be safe and not worry
3.I'd like to be near some water activities, beach, river, lake
4. Good food
5. Not insanely expensive
Forgot to add.
6. Tolerant of LGBT people
7. Has gay/lesbian bar/restaurant that serves breakfast/brunch
8. Walking places for dogs
stay home freak
Sodomites are not welcome in those places. You see everywhere you listed is full of actual Americans that value fmaily and the surrounding beauty. A gay visiting there wanting rainbow flags and gays everywhere will be disappointed. The only place you listed that may be ok for freaks is Newport Beach.
Newport Beach is the most republican area in the coast in Southern California. They are one of the only cities in southern California where they don;t allow homeless people to sleep in the city.
nothing says paradise like Destin, FL...lmao
I would swap that for Naples, FL if you haven't already been. Marco and Sanibel islands are within driving distance. Although, it might not fit your #5.
There are no areas that are pro LGBT, low crime, and have public transportation infrastructure.
I'll give you a good suggestion, Gatlinburg TN
If you go to Telluride just be advised they do not have Uber or Lyft there. I had to bribe my hotel bellman $200 to drive me to the airport because I didn't reserve a shuttle in advance.
Telluride is pozzed and doesn't like outsiders. I suggest Durango instead, way more fun place to be. Then visit Telluride for the day.
Ski towns in the summer feel off unless you visit one that actually has cool things going on all year. Not all do. Newport Beach isn't going to be cheap, its literally be an upper crust place since the 30s. Could do one of the New England beach towns but they're expensive in the summer too. P-town if you actually are gay.
I'd also recommend the central CA coast. Way less crowded than the so cal.
Jackson Hole, WY. Nice little town with Yellowstone only 40 mins drive.
america isn't the middle east kek you can be gay and travel pretty much anywhere and there will be some gay bar or club.
