Sorry, America has put Syria on the blockade and starve to death list, and Europe can do nothing unless papa USA gives the green light.

Anyway, can I come and crash at your place if I visit Damascus?

With a Syrian passport you are not going anywhere. Wouldn't be surprised if they decline all visas unless it's a diplomat. Try getting another one somehow.

they are gonna be deported. lots of "refugees" sneak over and lie to get in places and all they can do is become mafia's b***hes or live in the slums. they will be kicked out.

why don't you go to a nearby country with similar culture?

if Italy has any kind of handle on this they can spot these scams a mile away from the embassy. Countries like this have touts that promise you a visa and it's easy to spot people who have been coached or who provided false documents according to a consular officer friend of mine. For the US false documents result in a lifetime visa ban & gtfo.

Sorry, but the usual suspects have determined that supporting economic activities in your country does not align with their goals.
The situation of your country is however gladly used as an excuse for uncontrolled mass migration to Europe, if you decide to abandon your country you are very welcome to have a go at it as well.

Actually, someone redpill me on current Italian politics. All I hear from people is that "they're fascists," but that word started to lose meaning as of a few years ago.

I'm guessing what people really mean is "they are conservative and we don't like it!" Am I on the ball here?

I actually kind of have experience with this, but from the other side.

When a company in a third-world country needs technical training from a first-world country, it's usually easier to send an instructor to the third-world than it is for the third-world employee to come to the first-world.

When I did this, my client company got very good value out of their money. Instead of one of their guys coming to my country to learn stuff, I went to their country and trained an entire crew of technicians.

That works perfectly if you already have the infrastructure in the third world country.
If you're trying to newly establish something you will spend a lot of money sending your firstie trainers abroad when the thirdies cannot get a visa.
