Ultra travel pro tips

This thread is for posting only the most advanced pro tips, like shit you learn from full time travel

OK I will post the best advice of all.

The day you are traveling, by bus, air, walking whatever. Three hours before you leave your accommodation drink two or more very strong coffees, feel free to use those little packets you buy to increase caffeine strength. After you drink your coffee, drink one or more liters of water, you will start shitting your brains out, I shit 5 or 10 times when I do this. Give yourself two hours to purge the shit and excess water. The end result is your colon will be empty, you will be fully hydrated but several pounds lighter ready to travel without the need to shit or piss for 10 hours.

I drink several cups of coffee every morning and at least a liter of water by the afternoon, every day. So what do I do, anything? I do usually take a huge shit in the morning.

This seems like a lot more work than just booking an aisle seat and using the onboard facilities whenever the urge arises.

That's pretty cool I guess, sounds like it could be worth it if you travel with layovers often enough to break even. Not sure if it counts as a pro-tip though.

I have a few, not sure if they will be helpful to everyone but here they are:

    1. On overseas flights you can generally order whatever you want to drink whenever you want if you ask the cabin crew. They have some very fine wines in my experience, you can easily go through half a dozen of them or more during the flight not counting mealtime drinks and the stewardess wont bat an eyebrow.

    2. Kind of obvious but when staying abroad for long periods, renting a furnished apartment is often cheaper than booking a hotel. If you do your homework you can rent for local rates and depending on the country that can be almost nothing.

    3. Renting a car is not as expensive as most people think it is. If you get decent insurance coverage you will even be reimbursed for any incidental damage. The freedom that comes with self-driving compared to public transport is huge. Well worth it if you really want to explore a country within a limited amount of time.

    4. Stop drinking imported beers. Stop eating at those touristy restaurants. You know the ones I'm talking about. There is something to be said for going local and your wallet will certainly appreciate it.

      >Renting a car is not as expensive as most people think it is.
What's with that. I tell people I'm renting a car to visit a city and they're like "omg are you sure?" Yes FFS pre covid it was literally under $10 a day if you didn't buy the insurance scam.

        >renting a car
        >to visit a city
The only reason there is to rent a car is if you want to get away from a city

        >insurance scam
Not sure about the US, but you better get one in Europe. You can get easily buttfricked for the smallest scratch.
I go for full coverage now, I already got fricked once (because wife didn’t park the car well and scratched a bit on the back against the wall). It’s a bit expensive but not that bad outside of peak season and especially if you drive a lot. I never go on vacation without a car nowadays, except if it’s a week-end stop in a city.

Idk but if you drink 3 coffees and a liter of water less than 3 hours before your flight you are going to get up to piss every 10 minues. I think OP is trolling.

The longest flight I ever took was 5h30 so I have never seen the inside of an airplane toilet. Doesn't it smell like absolute hell in there? Is there a sink with running water or is it just a toilet?

No, the toilets are flushed with some kind of blue chemical and it sucks the waste into a holding tank. Airplane toilets and a Boeing tier piece of engineering. There's a sink but it's small/barely any water pressure. The only thing that sucks is I'm over 6vfeet and 240 lbs and the lav is coffin sized.
