america is not what I thought it is, I feel extremely isolated and depressed, it feels empty and expensive. I moved to los angeles from eastern europe after making a life changing amount of money, for grad school.
I'm contemplating bailing and just moving to bangkok/indonesia and live the rest of my life chilling in asia.
is this just temporary paris syndrome, what would you choose?

LOL just LMAO even, holy frick you're moronic. People say avoid that place because it's actively a shithole. Californians have been moving out in droves from it during and after covid fricking up housing costs for everyone.
Why not take a vacation and see if it's feasible. America is FRICKING HUGE. LA is a garbage city with garbage people.
is there any place in america that is warm, and where it's possible to buy food without driving in a car for a half an hour
Arizona, plenty of places in texas, florida, most cities in the 'bible belt', just use apartments.com or whatever to check areas.
>it's possible to buy food without driving in a car for a half an hour
I haven't had a car in +5 years, unless the only place you consider buying food is Whole Foods, the south and southwest generally has a bunch of small places popped up. LA is just a gigantic shithole in supermarket placement.
Most I've had is a electric power assist bike ~30 mile range at 20-25mph.
>is there any place in america that is warm, and where it's possible to buy food without driving in a car for a half an hour
Miami Beach and New Orleans are both warm and ok without a car
>I'm contemplating bailing and just moving to bangkok/indonesia and live the rest of my life chilling in asia.
Indonesia has a new visa where you can get 10 years residency just by showing you have 100k of savings. If you really have plenty of money it wouldn't hurt to check those places out.
Not OP. Thank you. I'll be moving to Indonesia for a little while based on this comment.
No one here can tell you what to do because we're all born with individual responsibilities we incarnated on this planet to fulfill. If you feel the spiritual urge to escape the states, then give thailand a shot. Just don't think for certain you'll remain in Asia forever. Perhaps you'll receive a calling to end up in Latvia somehow.
But, I share your desire for different reasons. I don't like the USA very much myself.
>I moved to los angeles from eastern europe after making a life changing amount of money, for grad school.
I'd imagine your problem comes from being too impressionable. Who or what influenced you to move to LA? It doesn't sound like it was you
Thailand would be an OK pick, but it's another consensus pick.
Move to Bagiuo Philippines for 1 year and get a motorcycle. I'll be there
This is financial advice.
This guy wants to go BANG wiener LMFAOOOOOOOOO NO WAY DUDE
LA is a shithole. If you want warm weather and walkable go to Miami ir the downtown area of any city in the US. Bangkok is a solid choice regardless of much how you hate LA, but there’s something to he said about living somewhere “nice” and Thailand is not “nice” in any capacity. Cartagena is a good option for climate and cost of living.
Bangkok is way more developed and safe than Cartagena
LA is utterly soulless concrete and hobos
Why would you move to LA instead of living like a king in Asia?
>indonesia
>chill
it's far from chill my guy, and it does feel empty and expensive too. probably not with your dollar money though.
