>shithole country asks you to buy a flight ticket before applying for visa
>you apply for the visa a month in advance to avoid any problem
>they also ask you to book hotels to know the exact journey you'll be having
>you give them every fucking detail they ask and yet the day of your flight the visa is still not ready
I don't know why I put myself through this. No one wants to visit these fucking shitholes for a reason, and yet they will still find a way to push away people that want to. Why are they like this anons, why do they make it difficult for you to visit their shitholes?
I've got a goddam shengen passport, why the fuck am I forcing myself to "countries" like pakistan? now I'll have to change for a holiday in Thailand or something like this
>going to Pakistan
>WHY DO THEY ASK SO MANY QUESTIONS
No one is forcing you to go there, if you don't actually have a desire to go and basically fill out the required info in order to get a visa then lol. Also did you miss that your country might be Visa on arrival?
>No one is forcing you to go there, if you don't actually have a desire to go and basically fill out the required info in order to get a visa then lol
Except I actually did it all, and they still took a month just not to deliver the bloody visa in time in the end. I really want to see tuff like gilgit, the hunza valley etc, 've been thinking about it for at least 3 years now.
>Also did you miss that your country might be Visa on arrival?
Unfortunetly not, you have to pass through a shitty e visa website that is down most of the time
>I want to go to a third world
>WHY IS IT EXACTLY LIKE A THIRD WORLD?!?!
Anon, you only have yourself to blame. If you can't deal with something like waiting for a country 1/4 the way around the world to get you your shitty visa to larp as Miles then stay home.
If you don’t like it, don’t go. If you enjoy going to shitholes, have a nice day because you are the cancer infesting sighsee

I went to Pakistan just before COVID. Literally took me about 15 minutes to get the visa and I didn't need to show proof of any travel plans whatsoever. Is it really that much of a pain in the ass now?
Even well before 2020 there were many countries where you had to apply a good 6 months ahead IN A DIFFERENT COUNTRY than your own, cause true shitholes barely even have embassies anywhere... And during those 6 months you would have to constantly harass the embassy for them to do anything or for them to basically ask for bribes and whatever. 1 month?! Why are you giving yourself such a hard time. I hope your tickets were possible to adjust.
I went to Pakistan a few months ago. Getting the visa online was pretty simple. It was much worse for mainland China.
Pakistan is unusually, almost hilariously, fussy about visa approvals. Many years ago when I was young and dumb I was showing a friend around Southeast Asia for a couple of weeks, and planning to visit my parents who were working in Islamabad on my way back. I showed up at the Pak embassy in BKK, filled out and handed in forms, and was told to come back tomorrow, where they sat me down in a brick guardhouse outbuilding at the edge of the compound, made me wait for two hours, and then came out to tell me my visa had been refused, but I should come back tomorrow. I did this twice before they bothered to explain that they didn’t issue visas in third countries and I should have procured it in the US. (This was true and I was dumb for not knowing it, but it was nice of them to put off informing me about this for 48 hours after I attempted to apply.) I ended up having to drop a name given to me by my father’s colleague, and when I went back a third time to ask for him, the guard smiling lazily at me in the outbuilding blanched, ran away, and after making me sit another hour just because he could, finally showed me inside to a very plush office that turned out to belong to the deputy head of mission for the embassy, the guy whose name I had dropped. The posh guy looked at me for a moment, glanced at my paperwork and passport, signed almost invisibly tiny initials on a corner of the page, smirked, and said, “So you would like to visit Pakistan?” “Yes, very much so.” “Show this to the men downstairs. You will get your visa.”
And I did. But there was a theatrical level of keeping me from getting my visa for several days.
Lol. Nowadays only countries complicated enough to get a visa are shitholes in Asia and Africa. And anglo countries due to bureaucracy (but at least they are straightforward about it) and too much people wanting to visit (or ilegally moving there).
Heard similar stories about DRC and Sudan.
>one month
You're the one who fucked up
>Travelling to Pakistan
Why? It's a shithole
