I guess it depends. Nowadays I'd rather have several 8-15 days vacations than longer vacations. But when I was working 12-14 hours a day I needed 7 days only to disconnect from all the work related thoughts and the need to check my emails few times a day. So at that time my vacations were at least 20 days long, unless I got a weekend along with some holidays in weekdays. But those 4-5 days trips are not real vacations.

There is no perfect size because every possible trip is so different, but if you're an npc wage slave getting advice from the ~~*experts*~~ then yeah I guess you'll get a week off approved easy enough

The law in my country stipulates that you have to take at least 14 days in one go.

The perfect length is whatever you want it to be.

      >The perfect length is whatever you want it to be.
This. I’ve taken international trips ranging in length from under 48 hours to over six weeks, and valued both, but I get tired of living out of a bag after around a month, maximum. Nowadays I don’t like to be away from home for more than about two weeks at a time if I can help it. So I take ten days at a time twice per year, and as many long weekends/holiday breaks/4-5 day getaways as I can fit in.

But it’s worth noting that I’m also an expat, so even local travel can have a vacation-like aspect.

If it's not over 30 days you haven't even visited the country and I will fight a large boar to the death over that while Vietnamese villagers gamble on the outcome.

    That's dumb.

Three weeks is usually a good balance, plus about half a week on either end at home to organise/reset

Uh you need at LEAST 3 months. You’re not doing shit in 8-14 days except hurrying from one place to the next on your little homosexual itinerary.

With 90 days you can take your time and really see all you want to. Also the unspoken benefit is you actually look forward to going home rather than being RIPPED away

Depending on length of travel, 3-5 days at your destination is perfect

The perfect vacation length is ZERO days because you are all WORTHLESS and BROKE. You're not a REAL MAN unless you GRIND EVERY DAY. Even when you've finally made it, you STAY on the GRIND so that you never go BROKE.

Sponsored by an airline that wants you to buy expensive tickets

1 month is the perfect bang for buck, at 1 month accomodation becomes less expensive, you can book cheaper flights in the future, learn to live like a local, explore the place and enjoy all the good that can come from that place

depends on how far the flight is too, if it's a long haul 20-30 hour flight I would want to stay longer than 1 month
