>Went Cyprus

>24*C, not had a top on for a week
>Come back to London
>5*C
>Jacket and a scarf

Is this the same planet? I refuse to believe the disparity. Who the frick thought it was a good idea to migrate to western Europe? Those bloody hunter gatherer fools ruined everything.

So why the frick don't we alternate between the two as seasons change?
Who thought it was a good idea to create country borders and kill anyone that tried to cross them?

In the times when the proto Indo Europeans were migrating it was a lot warmer. So it wasn't as moronic as it might seem.

rich people do this. If you're wealthy then "summer" and "winter" are verbs

Rich people are weird, man. If I were rich, I'd stay in the tropics all the time unless I were vacationing in Iceland or some shit. Cold weather is gay.

Hot weather and beaches gets old after a while too. The ultra wealthy basically have this annual migration route that many of them follow every year because it's tailored around perfect weather and major events, and they get to hang around other ultra wealthy people. January starts off in Davos, Switzerland for WEF and then they stick around to ski in the alps. Then it's on to some big horse event in Dubai. Then back to Cannes for the film festival, and then the F1 Grand Prix in Monaco right after. And on and on it goes

Well you can stick with borders and have every country on earth by a thirdie shithole by the end of the century, or you can do away with borders and have every country be a thirdie shithole by new years. Up to you I guess.

      Hope you went to protaras

Googled Protarasa and it looks great. Stayed in Larnaca for a couple of days. It was gorgeous. I normally wouldn't go to the same country twice but Cyprus was great. The food, the hospitality, the women, the beaches, the weather. I fell in love

That's nothing. I've seen it go from highs in the 50s, lows around freezing to lows in the 80s, highs around 100 (40C) in the span of one week.

Okay apart from temperature difference, did you like it? I am considering going there next fall/winter season when Europe is dark and shit again (like now). I am attracted to the idea of no capital gains tax over stocks, bonds, and derivatives.

Oh yes mate, I absolutely loved it. I am quite outgoing so made friends with another Brit once there too, became a regular at a couple places already. Got tan, had great food, walked through postcard worthy streets everyday looking to get lost. I loved it. Great time. Working out by the beach, playing basketball with the locals, eating halloumi under palm trees. Saw a beautiful Church, couple other landmarks, saw a Zeno of Citium statue and I love philosophy. It was great, if I stayed until the weekend I would have also ended up clubbing but had to go back home on Thursday night.
I'd recommend it but I assume holidays are what you make of them. I went with no expectations and got more than I could have asked for.

western crete is my heaven on earth, rent a car, stop in any mountain village, go to pink sand perfect beach at elafonissis on the south west coast or perfect normal sand beach at falassarna on the west coast

everything tastes fricking great as its locally grown, some simple tomato stuffed with rice is delicious, you can find giant fig trees everywhere just on the side of the road, water is pristine and shallow so you even see little kids just playing freely in the water without fear of getting hit by a wave

might be more expensive as you do need the car rental but totally worth it, chania is great for a day visit as its a former venetian harbor

maybe ciprus is a cheaper version of that if you just want to relax in all inclusive, in crete the resorts are all on the north side as the south is pristine nature reserve
