Westfjords

Is it worth visiting this region in April?
How hard will it be to get to for 1.5 weeks without a car, would like to stay in huts or camp on the peninsular.

I saw the area doing the ring road summer 2019, nice place but very little do other than hiking. Accommodation seemed expensive

    Without a car, terrible idea.

This is the least visited part of Iceland because it's completely out from the ring road and there are only small villages. Great for birdwatching and whalewatching though. While it's not impossible, especially if you intend to camp illegally (wild camping in Iceland is outlawed), most huts and camping sites won't reopen before May or June.
Bus won't take you very far, and they are very limited. You miss it, you're fucked for the remaining of the day.
April is absolutely not ideal for hiking. Again, not impossible, but it's not ideal. Snow is still readily available but it's starting to get warm and most trails have their huts shut close until June.

If you still want to hike and camp without a car, stick to the southern portion of the country.
There's a trail that starts from Skogar falls that can last for about a week long (Laugavegur) with bus access. But then, the trail is NOT recommended before June, people actually died because a blizzard appeared in the middle of May.

I'm not worried about conditions, I have the equipment and experience for it. Whales should be all seasons? If I leave a day for the bus I should be good?

impossible without a car. sporadic busses. flights in and out of Ísafjörður. Bring a car. I don't even think the buses run that early in the summer.

I can walk from the closest bus stop to the tip, can't rent a car over there yet

April to early July are the best months to see wildlife. First migratory birds of the year should arrive by mid-march, and absolute peak is around late April to end of May.
Same goes for whales, although their season lasts a bit longer, until September.
If you really want to do it then, yes, it's one of the better places to see Atlantic puffins, you can get really close to them. Good for other seabirds as well.
The other great birdwatching area would be around lake Myvatn and the northern bit, if you're into anything other than seabirds. Easier access with more buses running from Akureyri.

Same deal with the Eastern part of the country, the Eastern tip is quite isolated and is one of the least visited places, but I did see some bus stations in the middle of nowhere.

Make sure the bus runs in April (there should be at least one) and yes it's expensive as fuck.

Legality in remote places is merely a suggestion. I've wildcamped in loads of places in Europe where it is illegal, I'd be hard pressed to believe that you can actually get in trouble for setting up a tent in some remote corner of Iceland.

I didn't say he shouldn't do it. I'm just stating a fact, now, he can do whatever he wants with it, like, you know, camp far, far away from any human activity or a trail path.

Black man here, what's Iceland like for black men. I had a pretty good time in Denmark so I'm guessing it will be the same?

You can get the bus there but it’s designed for Icelanders visiting family rather than tourists. Weather can be very bad and without a car you won’t easily be able to see things. In summary: are you retarded?

Go into the male (male) dressing room. Strip completely naked. Shower, making sure to soap your head, armpits, groin and feet. Put on swimming wear appropriate for both your real and fake gender. So always cover your groin, also cover your breast if you have/had them or are pretending to have them.

i've never been to iceland but consider renting a bicycle and use that to get around. it's 3x slower than a car but at least gets you places. still quite retarded imo.
