    >what country's nature impressed you

never really traveled much in other countries, but Hawaii impressed the hell out of me.

I went for a 10 day vacation, split between Maui and Kauai, and found it to be literal heaven on Earth.

Everything you expect from Hawaii is exactly what it is. The weather, the beaches, the forests and jungles, the rivers...

it felt to me like the cleanest outdoor experience i've ever encountered. In other places I've been, going to the river or beach can be a somewhat dirty and miserable experience, if you get wet you feel like shit. In Hawaii? You don't even really need a towel while exploring. You just dry off in like 10 minutes.

It's strikingly beautiful in every way. The air is cleaner than what continental Americans are accustomed to, the water is more pleasant, the people are far nicer. Honestly felt like every single person we met while traveling wanted us to have a fantastic time.

Fellow Oman bro, which part specifically? My Dad and I explored the mountains up north by car and it was lovely. We never made it to Salalah which I regret, but it's a reason to go back I suppose.

Any recommendations for Oman? How much time should I invest for a great trip?

Northern Italy, Saudi Arabia and Western China the most.

Most overrated would be Banff and Jasper in Canada. Switzerland was just so much better.

Vid is kalajun prairie in China.

Gorgeous, Western China is absolutely amazing

The entire Alps region (Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, France). Especially south eastern Germany (Koningsee) and Salzburg area. Picture perfect mountains, blue lakes and green valleys in every direction. Also really liked the gigantic mountains looming over over Lucerne and Innsbruck.

Canada, specifically Québec in October. I didn't know there were canyons and mountains, and obviously the fall colors exceeded my expectations. I didn't see anyone else for some reason and was completely alone in pristine forest.

      New Zealand. Seconding Maui.

Nearly forgot about China, but yes, China. I haven't been to the West, but like the mountains in Central China are also breathtaking. It's just insane. Those bamboo forests I still dream with.

how do you even get there? Do flights even go to western China?

Most big cities around the world have direct flights to Urumqi airport (URC).

If you are visiting other parts of China first, you can easily take high-speed rail there, or a domestic flight.

Switzerland, seriously how can it be so beautiful.

Bahamas, real life saturation filter, white sand, crystal clear water, tropical countries are so relaxing, because you get to spend half a day on an island with only a few other people at most, you can be alone on the island easily, and dolphins come say hello.

Cape Cod USA, it's my hometown but it's full of untouched nature and it's a very peaceful place, you can go see whales too

Western Mass, Vermont, NH, Maine are all very picturesque, and the best season is autumn. I found myself in forests that look like Princess Mononoke scenery

I've seen nice spots in many countries but it always seems a let down from photos, but these are picture perfect

Love to see another Cape Codder with an appreciation for it. Wish I didn't move away, maybe one day it'll be possible to move back.

Baxter State Park is probably the most beautiful place I've been in the US.

Ethiopia blew me away more than any other country. The colors of the Danakil, landscapes of Tigray, and Simien Mountains combined were out of this world.

Switzerland - a train ride from Geneva to Davos was spectacular. Lake Geneva itself is beautiful

Iceland - not really fair, as its one of the most incredible places in the world, but the photos really do not do the place justice

    High Tatras in Slovakia/Poland
