Depends on what you value in a place and which type of aesthetic you prefer. There's really no good answer to this.

most of the really beautiful ones are filled with undesirables now
that or they are (were) in the middle east and have either been bombed to hell and back or defaced because of iconoclastic beliefs.
Honestly, you're better off living away from cities if you want to experience beauty every day

I’m in Madrid right now, it’s quite nice. I will come back when the weather is warm. It’s not the most beautiful city but the nightlife is very lively and easy to partake in. One drawback is that Spaniard women have a stick up their ass and the men are humorless bores. Maybe that’s just Madrileños.

Also today I went to a museum and when I came outside there was a fricking pro-gay HIV awareness protest going on

It's Madrid for me. I can think of more visually striking places, but as far as being a good place to actually live a life, it might be the perfect city.

uhhh is the main train station on the other side of the road behind the camera? If so then I slept in that white corner building.
I have to stay surprising to see so much pro-Madrid sentiment, but it definitely is a nice city.

I haven't travelled too much but of the ones I've been to I might say Ljubjlana perhas

I love madrid, so much better than Barcelona. Also I disagree with the women I thought they were pretty chill at least compared to american women. Also not as much migrants compared to other big euro cities and feels very spanish, Barcelona was way more globohomosexual in comparison. I had nice old grandpas as my taxt drivers who would show me around the city, in barcelona all the cab drivers were pajeets (although some of the jeets were cool too).

BCN has way more pozzed elements than madrid, Madrid is actually a little conservative by western euro standards as they have a right wing mayor if I recall. Theres more homogeinity in Madrid, the only visible large migrant groups are hispanics and pockets of gypsies.

        Anonymous

        >as they have a right wing mayor
IIRC, it's much deeper rooted than that. Catalonia was one of the biggest Republican regions in the Spanish Civil War, while the Franco government was based in Madrid and spent quite a bit of time quelling separatists movements in the region. To this day, Real Madrid is the "right wing" club, and FC Barcelona is the "left wing" club

Can confirm Rome and Florence are gorgeous, I wish I would have stayed in Florence over Rome though. Rome has way more to see but Florence is way more laid back and chill. Rome was too busy for me a lot of the time. But it is beautiful

I think even the concrete strip malls of Vancouver were slightly beautiful. All kinds of dreamy architecture weird little restaurants and math tutor store fronts. Not to mention the pockets of rainforest everywhere, you don’t get that in non-Nordic Europe.

What is the best place for an American guy of Pakistani origin to solo travel for the first time? I was born in and have never left California and I want to see the world now that I graduated and have a flexible job and income.

I'm wary of traveling to Europe due to all the racism against non-white people I hear of and because the people seem cold and reserved. I want to meet girls and make friends.

I was thinking Thailand because of the large expat community (interesting people) and it seems like a great place to visit. It's also near other brown guy friendly areas like Singapore, Philippines, etc., but I want your suggestions, opinions, and advice. Thanks.

If you look rich not a soul is going to be notably rude to you anywhere. You make good money so just look the part too.

People will be colder and more reserved to you everywhere unless you're good at their language, and you have even less leeway than the average white person.

That said I'd say, in order, UAE, Korea, france/england/spain/netherlands, japan maybe. Seoul is definitely the most culturally progressive east asian city, and imo the easiest for a foreigner of any color to visit or stay in.

There are many beautiful cities in France, Belgium, Italy and Southern Germanic (or former germanic) states.

        Colmar
        Strasbourg
        Nice
        Annecy
        Menton
        St. Paul de Vence

        Venice

        Rome
        Trieste
        Trente
        Dubrovnik

And much more, but inside and outside of these countries (think of Edinburgh, Stockholm's Gamla Stan, Kyoto, etc)

But probably my favorite however, has to be Venice. It's simply so unique

I know Madrid has been mentioned already, but Barcelona is by FAR my favourite city in the world to stay in, especially long term. I'm eventually planning on moving there.

For me, Barcelona is the perfect mix of a big, industrial modern cosmopolitan city, with beautiful historic architecture and a refreshing combination of both chilled out beach/party/tourist elements and normal every-day working life.

Madrid is very similar, except a more conservative, more administrative city with far less touristic/party elements. For me, I could explore Barcelona for several weeks, seeing new parts of the city, meeting people from all over the world, visiting interesting museums, relaxing at different beaches and eating at different types of restaurants and not get bored. I could probably only do the same in Madrid for several days.

Honestly, I don't have a single negative thing to say about Barcelona.

Moved to Barcelona a few years ago, I agree with that sentiment. A few things got worse lately: rents are ridiculously high right now, and criminality is rampant in certain areas at night but overall it's still a great place to live in.

Napoli by far. Once you get out of the historic centre, you go the main place the napolitans live it's beautiful. The worst part is the station, last time we where there, there was a dead homeless man at the entrance which was sad and not a great first sight of the city.

Gonna have to give another vote to Florence. Nowhere has as good public art/sculptures as what you can see in Florence.

        >Paris is a hellhole

Paris was, and still is, one of the prettiest cities on the planet, stuff like graffity and trash on some places is to be expected in such a big western city, London and New York (and quite a lot of other american cities) also have those. Now the chud problem (white and berber) is a huge thing, but there isn't much to be done other than deport them, however that simply isn't possible before they ape out. But again chuds are also present in other huge metropolis, so not just a parisian thing.
