If you're looking for something, anything, you can find it in America in reasonable quality if you try.

Turkey is a personal favorite if mine for surprising variety of scenery, fresh, well prepared food, affordability, beautiful beaches, and the almost unrivaled richness of its history.

The US has the lowest quality food and women in the world, topkek. Also no history. The only reason to visit the US is for it’s nature. In every other area Europe is simply superior and usually more first world.

One needs to see what great empires left behind them. To me, the essentials are cities that had one or several rich civilisations leaving their mark there

    >Spain (Granada, Toledo or Sevilla)
    >France (Paris, Avignon)
    >Italy (Roma, Napoli or Palermo)
    >Germany (Aachen, Trier)
    >Türkiye (Istanbul)
    >Jerusalem
    >Egypt (Cairo, Luxor)
    >Iran (Esfahan, Shiraz)
    >India (Delhi, Agra)
    >China (Xi'an, Beijing or Nanjing)

Intentionally left out America and much of Africa cause most of their civilizations had little to no impact on the rest of the world or didn't leave much behind
For London, Athens or Moscow they sadly didn't keep enough buildings witnessing a deep history.
For East and SE Asian civilizations, it's mostly because they were under heavy chinese or Indian influence for most of their history - so just visit on or the other

Basically best value add of interesting, unusual places that no one has really popularized yet or is up and coming?

Basically everywhere that isn't mentioned in this thread. I'd argue even the most comercialized parts of America might be interesting for SighSee arbitrage since not a single person "visits" those places
