Where to go in Iberia?

Brainstorming a month-long trip to either Spain or Portugal in January/February. Can you please tell me the best city for:

- Amenities
- Things to do
- Infrastructure
- Public transport
- Culture
- Weather
- Attractive women
- Cost of living (I'm not broke but I'd rather avoid profligate spending for now)

Thanks in advance.

I second that, I was in Malaga in August and it was really nice. It is a small city with nice beaches and beautiful women. Food is good and relatively cheap if you are from the states, for only 9 euros you can get a drink, an appetizer and a main at local bar.

I’m in Madrid right now. Really great walkable city. I’m in the barrio de las letras but the better night life is in Lavapiés which is the next neighborhood down. You would probably like to get an airbnb there.

But you would have to listen to that disgusting spanish and portuguese noise. SW France has all your conditions and more.

Bilbao is often overlooked. I found it really comfy, I'd recommend you look it up and see if it's your style.

I'd recommend you to visit the region of Galicia in north western Spain. Full of celtic influence and pilgrimage. Santiago de Compostela is the capital city of Galicia and the city is full of life. Also Vigo is a great city to visit.

Hah, Santiago De Compostela, I walked nearly 800km to reach the Cathedral only to be refused entry for having a backpack (my middle eastern genes don't help it either).

Your call, but Lisbon is currently running a very advantageous “digital nomad” program if you’re making more than 2,700 monthly from a foreign entity.
Could be a good way into Europe (and Iberia in particular), even if you don't ultimately stay.

lisbon is a shithole, and while it has better weather than the north of the country, right now they had a bit of rain and half the city flooded and a bunch of trees fell down
Porto has all the thing you want, and more in the surrounding regions, but in this time of year it rains a lot, so you might get unlucky (this whole region has more rain than london/belgium/etc over the course of the year, but here it happens all at once)

europeans really dont realize how lucky they are with their women. The fact that half of their women aren't obese landwhales just makes dating so much easier. You see average dudes with hot chicks all the time, in america any skinny girl is swarmed with simps

Anyone here has gone to a bullfighting event? How was the experience and when/where did you go?

I'm a Spaniard myself, but I've never gone because in my region it used to be banned, and I didn't really have much interest until recently.

I went to a bullfight in granada earlier this year because my friend invited me and I was in an open minded, try anything mindset, so was he. Both of us were pretty disgusted by it, you are basically watching a bunch of manlets torment, torture and kill an animal for fun, it feels like you are surrounded by sociopaths cheering nonstop. Not gonna see another one, although I will admit that as I got used to seeing the bulls die it became somewhat enjoyable to see the fanfare and spectacle. I still believe it should be illegal.

I had that experience as a kid. I thought it would be like in the Donald Duck comics. Oh, how shockingly wrong I was.

Went to Madrid in July to visit an old friend. Must visit if you enjoy art, El Prado is a stunning museum. Public transport was very accessible and covered the city. Was in the middle of a heat wave but Jan/Feb would be a pretty chilly. Women were very good looking and are easy to pickup if you can adjust yourself to the peawiener-like flirting style of Spaniards. Price was comparable to other European capitals.

Did a day trip to Toledo which was super cool - easy to get to and it's a preserved medieval city. Not much to do for more than a day or two though.

I haven’t even touched public transport here because I did not bring a mask to Spain.

Honestly all of the cities in Spain are awesome and have their own quirks to them. Barcelona is maybe the one I dislike the most but its mostly due to it being the most globohomosexual and Western European, with disgusting nasty ghetto commie blocks that don't really fit the meditterean and annoying larping locals who think they are anarchists. If you are under 30 you will probably like it and there is alot of good parties and public transport. Spanish chicks are pretty chill and easygoing despite the government karens that try to shove feminism down everyones throat. Even then third wave feminism is way more entrenched in anglo prostitutes, most spanish women are indifferent or just say they are one because its trendy
