Which country would be best to go for the Russian experience now that it's virtually impossible to visit Russia now?
Belarus is kind of pricey to access, which leaves us with the safe parts of Ukraine, or Kazakhstan. Which of these places would be cheaper and best for girls btw, will hohol ladies welcome me with open thighs?
I speak b1 Russian. Not planning on going until winter is over
You realize that you can just go to Russia, right? It's still open for tourism, no big deal.
Hmm not really, they don't accept dollars or euros, so you have to use bitcoin, and have made finding accomodation nigh impossible now, though it was always harder to visit than Ukraine and Kazakhstan because of their visa requirements which are expensive and time consuming, and registration is a pain in the ass.
I literally lived and studied in Russia prior to covid so I'm not talking out my ass.
You stupid fuck, ever hear of a currency exchange? Take $5k in cash and enjoy your stay. Fucking zoomers.
You get robbed, and where would you be then?
But that's just one aspect of why visiting Russia now is difficult and undesirable.
Are you going to complain and be a pussy or just visit Russia? My accountant just came back from Moscow last week. That anon is genuinely trying to help you and you're behaving like a child, no offense.
>carry 5k cash while travelling to a foreign country
Mate, unless it’s my home country where I’m comfortable getting by, there’s no fucking way I’d risk that.
I'm sorry for you that you can't enjoy travel to sanctioned countries then.
In most places you can get a local prepaid payment card that can be blocked an reissued if needed, so you would only have to carry cash until you get the card.
If the current situation continues for Russia they will start offering something similar as well soon.
absolute state
Bro there is currency exchange in the moscow airport none is going to do shit to ya.
How is the money exchange at the airport solving his worries of carrying lots of cash?
It doesn't matter if he loses dollars or rubles, once they're gone they're gone.
How pathetic of a manlet are you that fear of robbery is constantly on your mind?
I doubt he cares that someone of room temp IQ considers him to be such a person
>Take $5k in cash
Peak retardartion
>Kazakhstan
Most of the Russians there are fleeing Russia, and 80% of those have already gone on to other countries (3 month max visa). Not sure why you think Kazakhstan is a Russian experience. Also it was extremely cheap a few years ago. Now extremely expensive (more than W Euro level) since everyone is exploiting the rich Russians liberal refugees.
Belarus is much more similar, but as others said, you can in fact just go to Russia.
also fuck this captcha holy fucking shit
>going to a country full of steppe chinks
>Russian experience
nagger what
Also, like said, it's full of the literal homosexuals who fled Russia so the price is exorbitant compared to what it used to be. Same with Georgia and Armenia.
SEA is full of Russians right now, the smart ones with money and remote work are bouncing around to wherever will take them. Personally I don't blame them too much , you can't help where you're born.
>smart ones
>every gay in Russia has fled
You saying gays are smart?
Better to be gay than die in some Ukrainian chicken barn for Putin's glory lol
Being gay is committing suicide, but
No one thinks gay is good, especially not gays,
I noticed a lot of Russians too but....they are all here for vacation which I find incredibly odd.
dude, a couple of weeks ago i met a ukrainian from kiev who came to tallinn for a concert
in ukraine most people in the central and western parts are living normal lives (not lately with the power cuts, but still), most russians are living normal lives
even the sanctions are bullshit
cant enter baltics? go to any other european city and take a bus or a ferry
coca cola left the country? well, a local company that is owed 100% by coca cola release their own version
mcdonalds leaves russia? literally taken over by a franchisee with the option to return at any time during next 5 years, same shitty food except for bigmac, zero people lost their jobs, all the profits stay in russia, more money for putin
same with ikea
inditex and hm kept paying rent for flagship stores to hold the place and are reopening in spring
lets not buy russian oil! now lets buy the same oil from tankers with shady papers
shit got more expensive though, so people will switch from iphones to xiaomi
the projected gdp reduction was supposed to be 20%, in reality it will be below 5%
just stop watching tv mate, it's all a big scam on both sides
remember the big deal with corona? the next big thing thing is not a meme
it's not using their cards in russia, it's cards issued from russian banks
so now everyone has cards from belarus, kazakhstan etc and business have adapted too
in turkey in some tourist places they even take cards from russian visa-like system
I was thinking of using a backup-system in case I run out of cash which I bring with me and exchange to rubels.
Is western union still in use?
nope, neither is wise
something called koronapay seems to work, never used them myself though
Bidens war on Ukraine made Russia rich so they can afford to travel, simple as
Any proof?
I saw a report on CNN
I don't take pictures of random people to provide "proofs" on SighSee lol.
My flight was so full of Russians people just assumed that I also must be Russian and kept talking to me in the dark language of Mordor.
Thanks anyways. You provided me some information
Eastern Estonia/Latvia is no different from Russia
Yeah but I heard they're tearing down the Soviet era structures for some reason because they don't like it.
latvia went full retard with this, but in estonia it is some old monuments and red stars from some buildings, it literally changes nothing except for increasing ratings for politicians because of elections in march
you can go to narva or sillamäe and get the experience you want and in narva there are a lot of hohol ladies but i am pretty sure you won't know the difference between them and local russians unless you one of those retards who discusses politics with women
>latvia went full retard with this
It's based, imagine having a huge monument to the rape army in your capital city visible from everywhere. Should have been demolished earlier imo
By the way, when they demolished it they found that the soviet builders cheaped out on the bronze and had a concrete filler with a gilding of bronze, lmao typical soviet.
Latvians were the most fanatical Bolsheviks and responsible for some of the most vile atrocities during the Red Terror.
They all got purged by Stalin if it makes you feel better
>It's based
no it's not
i'd get it if they would do it in 91, but they literally had that monument for 30 years and then decided to get rid of it on a whim because boohoo
this is literally hysterical female behavior
There was an agreement with Russia in 1991 that they wouldn't desecrate Latvian monuments in Russia, but Russians are subhuman beasts and pissed all over that agreement so fuck them and their shitty monuments to monsters.
By the way Germans are massive massive cucks for keeping their monuments, maybe you should go to Berlin for your soviet experience.
boohoo cry like rehdogg
Boris Pugo was a Latvian and a fanatical communist as were many other non-Russians in the USSR.
If you want to see old soviet monuments go to Lithuania, there is a place like a huge park where they take all those old monumets after tearing them down. If you want to meet bydlos go to Latvia. Several Latvian towns are full bydlo, you won't hear or meet a latvian there.
Yeah, the Baltics are part of the Butthurt Belt.
still more enjoyable than most of russia, unfortunately. trek on over to narva and glance across the river and compare the two.
Also
>Eastern Estonia/Latvia is no different from Russia
They're the most impoverished regions but still light years ahead in development to rural Russia. If you want to see what a cancer Russia is take a Google maps tour of Abrene, it used to be Latvian territory before Russian fags annexed it.
>go for the Russian experience
>Not planning on going until winter is over
retard
>Belarus is kind of pricey to access
double retard
Why bother with visas, difficulty accessing money, registration and possible deportation from retarded rules and officials that hate westerners when you can go to an adjacent country that's almost the same and has none of that?
Even bald and bankrupt got banned from Russia and he was as innocuous as it gets.
are you kidding? he is a prominent public figure who made fun of putin on camera. of course he got banned.
He filmed soviet stuff and got chummy with hobos and babushkas, a net plus for their public image honestly.
Never seen a video in which he made fun of Putin and I've watched dozens of his videos. He even went along with the whole "special operation" shtick when detained.
Dudes clearly on the take for the Russians as a soft power asset. Some overzealous provincial police chief booked him and the gru had to come bail him out.
Do people honestly think that he got released from prison because he gave Putin a shout out? Dude had a melt down about sanctions during the conflict and has hardly said a peep about Russian bombs hitting Ukrainian cities
>he was as innocuous as it gets.
He literally taken into police custody and interrogated for trespassing on the Buran site.
Also, IMO, he makes Russia look bad. He's always interviewing alcoholics and visiting the crummiest parts of the country. I know his intentions are not nefarious in this regard, but objectively he makes Russia look shitty and poor.
I kek'd when he tried to do his shenanigans in chechnya and immidiately got arrested by kadyrovites and forced to make a grovelling apology
>he makes Russia look shitty and poor
Russia is shitty and poor, and that was even before the war. If anything he painted an overly rosy picture of Rasha parasha. I'll never understand poltards obsession with that shithole.
>I'll never understand poltards obsession with that shithole
That shithole is a perfect representation of their mental processes and inner world (mind that is). All poltards need to be rounded up and tossed over there.
50% of /misc/ is vatniks nowadays.
Close to 100%, they see the west has become dystopian and wish they lived in a great country like Russia with good government
99% of /misc/ is feds, bots and shills
the rest are basedboy redditors none of which are "vatniks"
just a harmless anti putin sexpat that dindu nuffin
Georgia.
San Francisco, mainly Richmond county specifically Geary Street, has thousands of Russian speakers who’ve been living in the neighborhood for over a hundred years, and a big Russian Orthodox Church.
How else would you pay for your expenses within the country nowadays, assuming that you don't have access to a Mir card?
Why not go to Transnistria (east of Moldova)? I heard that Tiraspol is under heavy modernization right now (and looks much more european than just a few years ago), but this "country" is still practically Russia away from Russia.
Tiraspol indeed feels like a Russian provincial city and the lack of international banking emulates the current sanction regime just right.
Moldova
Transnistria. You get the full Soviet Union experience, not just Russia. It's probably better to enter it via Moldova these days.
are they open
>Which country would be best to go for the Russian experience now
>russian experience
None.
>Which of these places would be cheaper and best for girls btw, will hohol ladies welcome me with open thighs?
Stay the fuck away from Ukraine you thotslut. Go to Kazakhstan. Plenty of that swamp scum there to give you that "russian experience".
Wait for Russia to reopen.
I appreciate this board and often use it to acquire hard to find factual information. As far as I know, Russia is not closed. They have lifted their covid restrictions & require a PCR if not vaxed. They are issuing tourist visas as usual. There are additional hurdles, such as not being able to use Visa/Mastercard and having to fly an airline which still operates in Russia. Several airlines do, including Turkish Airlines, so to me it seems like you would just have to travel old school with cash.
Has MasterCard and visa released their ban on using their cards in Russia?
>look on wikipedia
>Germany's population is just under 9% Russian
The fuck?
Anywhere that Russians vacation, meeting Russians is like going back in time 50 years to America where people were strong, fit and smart
>meeting Russians is like going back in time 50 years to America where people were strong, fit and smart
Russians were never strong, fit, or smart
yeah
Moldova and Romania. Just hold tight to your copper.
