This. Unless you're building like a block wall and filling it with concrete like a garage you might have increased penetration resistance but it's still going to rip the fricking roof off

Only the strongest (EF4 or above) destroy concrete structures.

      Yeah, all the time.

And Black folk will kill everyone if we build rail infrastructure. Fossil fuels are the only way.

Status quo exists because it's the best. Tired of idealists telling us we shouldn't build homes using toothpicks...

Its still completely destroyed and has to be completely rebuilt for three times the cost of wood. Which is why they're so fricking small. Europe is too busy importing Black folk to matter.

half our houses are at least 50% brick and concrete, 100% of American houses have concrete foundations, and every single one with a basement has about 3 meters of brick built up from the base level.
Also, 100% of our fireplaces have brick chimneys, we make extensive use of stone and mortar, and wood is superior as a building material after the first floor.

Then those morons would be dead from the bricks and concrete going through their skull. Why are yuropoors so adamant about justifying their objectively inferior construction methods?

Europeans literally cannot understand how strong tornadoes are. Then again, regular thunderstorms are enough to kill you pussies. A relatively weak F2 did this.

It's ok, if you work hard your entire life and save up all your greasy wop money you too can become an honorary American and live in a house with more than 1 floor and more than 30 square meters.

Mutt anon, why does the military industrial complex shell out so much cash for useless baubles? Surely Americans don't think we can beat China with 10 times fewer weapons that are produced at 10 times the cost...

China will defeat itself. The EU/US just have to cut trade entirely while some kind of terrorist attack makes their shitty dam pop and the Chinese government will implode trying to contain all of the shit flowing down the Yangtze river.

it was f3, the house never designed to survive anything is still standing ) roof damaged
amerimuts refuse to understand that it IS POSIBLE to build f3 fully resistant houses but it would be not profitable to constructions companies and lobbies
look at japan, litterary f3 and earhquake resistant 10 stages high buildings

The only reason the Italian government cares about your fifth story apartment not falling over is so they can post their ZTL sign 50 ft in the air and fine anyone who misses it

Your picture is completely unrelated you midwit. Building tornado resistant houses is possible with any material and building houses that will get ripped apart in high winds, to your surprise perhaps, is also possible in any material. It's all a question of cost. Want to have a house that will survive the weather and time? Money. Don't have money? Hope it's insured.

It's really expensive to make a suburb of bricks and concrete houses be ready and built within 6 months.

Does it have to be difficult though, there's no reason you couldn't just have prefab cement blocks and panels made and shipped to the site to be assembled in a week. All the poor sandBlack person countries live in brick and concrete so I'm not really buying the whole "too expensive" excuse.

Because concrete, brick and rebar-cased concrete costs $$$$$. My uncle had a house built in 2012 after the super outbreak and the reinforced house he built with help of friends who were contractors cost him almost $370,000 dollars. In 2024 dollars. That would be almost $600,000 tops.

There's some legit criticism here when a 12' 2x4 is the same cost as a 66 lb bag of concrete and you could buy 370 lbs of concrete for the equivalent cost of a 1/2" 4x8' piece of plywood just going off basic home depot prices. It stands to reason you should be able to get much more structurally sound buildings for your money and a little bit of White man brain power.
