sounds only interesting if you're a high schooler or american college student. once you're over that age, this city is like every other city in north america, but with acadian hicks.

I live in New York and it’s moreso younger college age kids go but even then most people i know haven’t even been to Canada. Americans aren’t exactly venturing types or like going out of their comfort zone

This country was created by people going outside of their comfort zone.

Montreal men have French values, and are playful when using the men’s restroom, playing with each others hair as they urinate, happily slapping each others butts, crossing streams.
American men being American men, like to visit public toilets in Montreal and watch

Is this true if so it’s hot!!!!

Absolute bullshit. If you speak some french people here will appreciate it. One thing that attracts so many people is the arts scene, tons of people from the ROC (Rest of Canada) come here for that since Toronto is soulless, and while BC is nice, there's not much to do and everything closes at 6.

Hotter and more feminine women who are easy and not fat or as entitled as americ**ts, only place in NA resembling Europe and not copy and paste American city or suburb, great party scene that mogs anything in the states, legalized whoring with top talent, not as anal about drinking and lowered legal age, great food, amazing downtown, easy to access from northeast and I can go on.

It's the densest city in America but we do have suburbs. They just have more public transportation and less McMansions (even though you can find them) Also we don't really have that much in common with the French (in Europe) They don't seem to realize is though since they're all immigrating here.

I was born and spent most of my life there, the women are leftard pseudo feminist trash with coloured hair and ugly manly tattoos who swear and belch like construction workers. I don't get where this comes from. Also once they hit 30 the blow like popcorn.

As long as you’re not out in cuffs and have to worry about getting put on a sex registry list it is for all intents purposes legal.

It has a lot more charm than most American cities. When I visited it was definitely the nicest and largest city I had ever been to at the time which left me kind of awestruck.

It's the closest thing north america has to a european city, so it's a popular destination for americans who want to see europe without actually going to europe.

I grew up in New England, a few hours south of Montréal, and can’t deny that a big part of the draw back in the day was the lower drinking age. I took a train up to MTL with a bunch of friends for the weekend to celebrate my eighteenth birthday (drinking age was 18 at the time, I think it may be 19 now?).

But it’s also a big, world-class major city. And the fact that it’s almost aggressively Francophone gives it some cultural appeal for Anglo yanks—it seems a lot more foreign to an American than (other) Canadian cities, but you don’t have to fly there.

I also like that my terrible attempts at French have always been received with very good cheer. I actually can’t complain about the way my fake French goes over in France, either (people are usually perfectly polite about it, stereotypes notwithstanding), but reactions are usually downright warm and encouraging in MTL.
