they knock the locks off if they cant open them
even though for zip cases they could just be opened with a pen

Because it's better than breaking the lock then not having one on. Besides the most you should realistically be using a lock for at the airport is just to make sure the zippers don't budge.

Any country can forcibly open your bag, america just has a standardized lock system for it.

Just use a zip tie or a twist tie. Any employee can and will pop a lock off if they want to. At least that way you'll know if your luggage has been opened up.

The only reason to have one of these is for your laptop bag when it's in the hotel so some third world Black person can't frick with your laptop, wallet/cash, or passport while you're out.

Thus shove gum in that little hole. See the divot in the gum? Some Black person tried to open my lock at some point.

        is wrong.

        is right.

Accessing the bag is one problem.
Accessing the back without knowledge is another problem.

You don't. It's basically an ultimatum.
    >get regular locks, get them cut off by TSA, have zero security for the rest of your trip
    >get special TSA locks, they don't get cut off by TSA, still have low-level security for the rest of your trip

      >have zero security for the rest of your trip
Spoiler: Those locks provide you with zero actual security. That's why just twist-ties or zip-tying them is the way to go. No need to worry about losing the key either.

      [...] is wrong.
      [...] is right.

Accessing the bag is one problem.
Accessing the back without knowledge is another problem.

      >Accessing the back without knowledge is another problem.
They don't care. Don't put anything in baggage you don't mind never seeing again.

Try to use the firearm loophole if you can.

Pelican-like case + Locks + Tamper evident wraps and seals.
Locks can and will be destroyed, but you can at least know if they're doing it.
