No, it can be good fun though under the right circumstances. Try and look forward instead of trying to regain something that has passed you by.

your memories are only in your head. something you'll like is in the future. don't give your present to the past.

No. If you missed out on the developmental milestones that should've happened in your youth, travelling isn't going to help you play catch-up.

Playing catch-up practically killed my friend and might've literally killed my ex. Have fun being an adult! It's a lot better than teenage love imo

One thing I’ve come to terms with is that travel, while enjoyable and interesting, is not going to resolve any troubles back home.

Can be under the right circumstances
I have a 5 step program for damaged people to make it
    1. Shrooms (only if you aren't prone to a psychotic breakdown)
    2. Peace Corps/Work visa/TEFL or some other experience where you learn to truly humble yourself and connect with people from completely different walks of life
    3. Appalachian/Continental Divide/Pacific Crest Trail to reflect on your new experiences and abandon your past self
    4. If still unfulfilled repeat steps 1-3 with different experiences else you have made it
    5. Reintegrate into society

truly one of the most “never been outside” posts I’ve seen on the board
if you’re so concerned with becoming normie, go to 6th street or equivalent every night and interact with people until you’ve deprogrammed your autism.
then you can frick random prostitutes or whatever “form life affirming memories that I missed out on in my youth” means

You sounds pretty angry not sure why all I suggested is OP do something radical yet safe and confidence building something he clearly needs sounds like he has been sheltered too much nothing is going to change for him by just going out and having fleeting experiences with drunks

OP is about forming “life affirming memories that I missed out on in my youth”. IDK what you did when you were young but all I did was basically hang out with the homies, play football, and go to parties. Judging by the tone of OP i assume he’s referring to something similar, which is why i suggested he goes to a party street because it’s full of people who just didn’t stop living like that. the dynamic is pretty much identical and you might even find people who throw house parties.
your advice is to walk in the mountains while doing reddit drugs gambling on if you’re gonna blow a fuse or not
TEFL is like the most universally hated job, even more so if you don’t like talking to randoms
how is doing all that on repeat for eternity gonna achieve anything at all?

Feels like you quoted the wrong anon, lol

I think what he's really saying is he just wants to feel good be a part of a community and experience something worthwhile. He'll never be able to go back and have those youth experiences. I suggest doing the next best thing which is having those unique experiences adulthood offers. I don't think hanging around a bunch of manchild alcoholics will help get him there

I did almost literally this exact thing and all it did was make it impossible for me to relate to most people in the US and their annoying consoomerism. I can't deal with work parties for example, all these easily amused boring people talking about sitting on their ass watching football or $5000 vacations to all inclusive resorts they think are a great deal because they got sugary well drinks for free, showing off their stupid leased Audi. They have no life experiences aside from growing up around other white people and buying stupid shit.

I think its just getting outside of the familiar, you learn a lot about yourself and your own culture when you're removed from a familiar environment and have to "sink or swim" in the unfamiliar. You learn about how to triage problems in your life, talk to people, and deal with adversity. So while I don't think the advice is bad, it won't really turn you "normal" either.

Sounds like a you problem. You need to find a career that isn't officecucking no joy can come of it
            >inb4 but money
You are the same as the people you complain about if this is the case, learn to live with less

Traveling will under no circumstances fix the psychosocial problems that make you (or anybody else who uses the word incel unironically) think like this. It will also never make you any younger.

That said, it can absolutely help to create “life-affirming memories.”

For the rest, get the frick offline, and seriously consider therapy.

If you are an unhappy person who has not been popular with women, it is 100% absolutely, unquestionably not because of your “sub8” physical appearance nor because of the geographical accident of your birth in the “west,” nor has it got much to do with the women around you. The fact that you think these things is a symptom of the problem itself, which is your ideas and the personality you have built around them, not a valid explanation or diagnosis.

So no, traveling is never going to fix you. But it could cheer you up and/or distract you while you do the work you need to fix yourself.

It works, especially if you’re white and remotely charming. Go to Colombia. Be careful that you don’t get robbed. Stay in a secure building, vet socials, don’t keep anything in the open that you’re not willing to lose.

Don’t listen to any homosexual on this board trying to tell you no it’s over your mental illness will follow you blah blah blah. If you are a white male non trust fund goy from the US(and manage to retain reasonable cashflow somehow) literally anywhere outside of the anglosphere will feel like a paradise to you compared to the US pussy prison. Everything from the much higher quality of women and food to the way you are treated and viewed by society to the overall vibe in the air. You will need to force yourself to be social and attempt to learn a new language though, but it will be 100% worth it.
