Your Top 3 Favorite Places in East and Southeast Asia

Ko Samui: I love the laid-back atmosphere on this Island. Its a perfect tropical getaway. I sometimes stay there for weeks at time.

Hong Kong: Its the flavorful cuisine that does it for me. Anthony Bourdain once said that Hong Kong was his favorite food city in the world. I concur.

Kuala Lumpur: A melting pot that works. People are very chill and respectful. Its clean and cheap. People speak english. Amazing street food markets.

Honorable Mentions: Kyoto and Chiang Mai.

I’ll be in Thailand for a little under 2 weeks. I know it’s not long but thinking about flying to Chiang Mai and Ko Samui for a few days at a time. What are some things to check out in these 2 areas if I only have 2-3 days in each?

No need to check out anything in particular. Just walk around and enjoy the vibe. Rent a scooter in Ko Samui and take long walks inside Chiang Mai square (moat)
