Yurt Living

I won't pay rent, I likely won't own a home anytime soon but I want a place to call home. So where is the best place in Europa where I can just buy a yurt, build it someone in the woods not far from some civilization, and live.

I would really like to live in the baltics, especially Estonia. I have funds to furnish and build over time.

OP here, I actually read that article. Originally I was looking at Mongolia because yurts are traditional until I realized you can buy and build yurts wherever.

You could buy a fixer upper in Italy for less than 40K near Treviso. Your mortgage would be like $400 a month. Everything you need to know about repair work is on Youtube. Slovenia is another place to buy a cheap home. If you spent some time on the repairs and learned how to do it right, maybe you could turn that into a business.

Those are cold and damp much of the year. What are you going to do in the woods anyways? I bet you wouldn't last two months.

Nothing but naive escapism, go live on a large tent for a month see how you like it, sucking your own dick during rainy weeks gets old very fast.
Small old cottages with electricity go for almost free, replace the wet sawdust and repair the roof, now you have a solid house. It turns out that thick walls are a God given gift.
