I'd like to go and live in Thailand for several years, but the problem is that you need a working VISA, whereas I'd just like to spend a long vacation there. So if Thailand isn't possible, I'd like to move to another country as good as Thailand, but without such a restrictive VISA.
I think you can stay in the Philippines for three years with a regular tourist visa, you just keep extending it
not anymore
fr no cap?
as of last month I still saw people assuming you can do PH forever
Yes you still can but it depends what passport you have.
You can stay in Thailand indefinitely as long as you're willing to do visa runs.
No you can't, this isn't the 90's anymore. You might get away with it for a little while, but its just a matter of time before you're turned away at Immigration.
The cool thing is I know how to live in Thailand for several years without getting some homosexual elite visa but I’m not gonna tell you because I’m not helping anyone on this board live my dream life just because they’re some dork homosexual that knows how to clickity-clack on his macbook
I don't get what's so bad about the Elite Visa. 5 grand a year is probably close to the taxes of a mid to high earner in Thailand. You got to help contribute to maintaining the infrastructure that you're using daily.
That’s fricking extortionary considering there are other visas available for sub 1k usd that will let you stay for a year at a time. I’m not paying five thousand fricking dollars for the privilege to spend money in Thailand. Those pieces of shit can get the frick out of my way and I’ll happily blow my money all over their country
These fricking morons can never just frick off and leave tourists alone
If you live there, and made 30 thousand year, that's how much you'd pay in taxes. Those goods required infrastructure to get to the vendor that you're way, doesn't help to maintain. You want Thailand to decay. Well frick you homosexual.
Nta you are talking to but you are very stupid if you thinka 5k a year cost for a visa sounds reasonable.
Black person that's the cost of 1 year of rent at a decent place in Thailand. Get real you frickinf freak. As he said you can get many other types of visas easily for 1k or less.
There is even an "ask nicely" visa where you send a polite letting requesting a special visa because you enjoy thai culture and want to experience a year there in a normal way of life, you just promise to not work. They only give out like 5000 of those but may as well try.
Imagine wanting to steal from Thai people. Sorry you can't just use their infrastructure without paying for it. Stay in your shithole and let the Thai people use the roads they paid for.
Be quiet you fricking ape. You already know whatever upcharging is going straight into the pockets of corrupt pieces of shit and contracts building an extra set of street lights, staircases to know here, and whatever other forms of grift they can conjure up.
Gtfo you dumb animal. My moneys going straight into sweet quiet teens pockets in exchange for uh. Heh.
You paying for the Elite Visa(your taxes) will help bring opportunities to those young girls, encouraging them to go to college and have fulfilling life with liberty.
Can't tell if trolling or moronic.
I can't tell if you actually care for women or not.
That's not how it works, sweaty.
Universities are scams and turns women into rabid, angry, miserable freaks. Why would I want to send Thai women there?
Based thais keeping poorgays out
Imagine how shit it would be if they handed out gold visas for $1k a pop
The old prices were fine, enough to keep the poorgays out but attract good quality of people, the new prices are designed just to attract Chinese money launderers. Why would I personally pay this much to stay in Thailand when countries like Hungary offer residency for just as much?
why is every country such a homosexual about visas
we want to go there and spend our money. we're taking money from our own country and transferring it to Thailand (or any other country), why are they trying so hard to stop us? They'll let us visit, but god forbid we stay longer than a few months?
Because, you fricking dumbass, The Elite Visa quadrupled in price just as recently as October. Total ripper off now, just for the "privelege" of staying in Thailand. It used to be reasonably priced a few years ago, and even further back it used to be you could buy an Elite Visa for a lifetime for just 1,000,000 baht ($30k USD), you'd have to a major fricking idiot to buy the new Elite Visas in 2024. Thailand does NOT want you, they want you're money. Oh, and you so still have to do 90 day immigration check-ins and Elite Visa holders were not allowed into Thailand during COVID (while business visa holders were). Enjoy being a moronic paypig for Thailand (fyi its not even that cheap anymore).
Tyler, expand your vocabulary beyond clickity-clack, patagonia trekking and dork.
I bet your British and bald.
>le special secret SighSee poster
Thailand has literally the most content of any country on earth how to live there and what visas are available.
You basically do the golden visa, ed visa, muay thai visa, the business visa hiring yourself or with a company like iglu handling it all and now the dn visa.
You can't find this all out in 10 mins
t. did this 5 years ago

This has to be the cringiest post I've ever read on SighSee.
Literally sound like some obnoxious fat 7yo kid bragging about whatever he can in the playground.
>ed visa
ez
that is a really cool thing buddy
happy for you
is this bait? I genuinely want to know if I can live for 6 months in sea for what I'm paying now for a month.
I don't understand how anyone could want to live in the tropics. A short holiday? Sure. But all the time? Frick no, it's exhausting being in humidity all the time.
i lived in bangkok for 2 years, paid for a thai student "language visa" to learn thai. i stopped going to the classes after 3 months and just renewed at the end of the year, wasnt expensive but i cant remember the actual price, this was like 8 years ago, though. even with a school or working visa youll still need to go to immigration every 3 months
lax thai language school visas have been cracked down on hard ages ago.
This is basically the way. I'm planning on doing 3 month initial tourist visa --> Education Visa for Muay Thai extended to 14 months --> Renew for another Education Visa etc.
As long as you attend the required classes and get your stamps and do things legit you'll be fine from my research.
what muay thai places have you found that offer an education visa? It doesn't seem like there are that many in bangkok. Chakrit in bangkok seems like one of the main ones
I'll be honest I havn't got taht far researching, just that I know it's possible and that you can keep renewing the ED visa's with no worries apparently.
I'd rather do muay thai over thai language tbh so I'm hoping there's more in Bangkok but I can search around.
You can also just contact gyms and see if they do it as they might not advertise
Can't you just go on Vacation and stay there? How would they even know you're there
