Is nepotism prevalent in this field? Do you need to know somebody to get the best routes or is it just random? What is the golden goose among pilots (company where they all want to work)? Do you know someone who crashed?
Yes I know someone who crashed and every every single one of my teachers knew someone who crashed and died which concerned me lol, unfortunately there’s a lot of crashes in general small aviation that no one ever hears about. That guy I knew who died, no one ever spoke about it, it’s like it never happened, if I wasn’t present at that airfield that day I would never have known. Very weird. For your nepotism question it’s a yes and no. Everyone in the industry will tell you yes (like any other industry) but try to be really anti social (be mysterious) and do really well and once your done apply to every company on earth(even if you don’t meet the exact requirements) you’d be surprised how things will turn out. And also NEVER BECOME A FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR, ITS A SCAM, ITS THE MOST DANGEROUS JOB IN THE WORLD.
1) Is there any possible way for general aviation to be affordable/worthwhile for someone who has no intention of making a profession out of being a pilot, and is not rich
2) Regarding the crashes, what percentage of them would you say are due to egregious pilot error (as in, from your point of view you feel the accident was easily avoidable) vs pilot error that scares you (I would have made the same mistake) vs unlucky, unsalvageable situation due to mechanical or other failure
I did it within a year and my family is poor. It’s called working full time and putting all your money into and try to get a loan of 30k if you intend on starting immediately or save up 30k until then so you won’t have to worry about cash while training and obviously most of the crashes are human error (inexperience) since it’s low experience student/pilots but a lot of the time it’s just bad coincidences. You really should not worry about that but I will tell you that you will experience close calls in your career/training that’s for sure!
My opinion is that when you first start you should fly Boeing like the 737, because it’ll be more fun and more challenging, and when you’re ready to settle in like at 30 or 40 fly airbus because you can be more intellectually lazy. Airbus is all computers/very spacious wienerpit/less noise/better quality of life and when you have an emergency, the checklists automatically pops up and you don’t have to worry
I'm a European planning to enter a 0-ATP program and have a hard time deciding between going to university(free in Europe) or simply going to a flight school. They cost the same, the only difference is uni is one year longer and obviously you get a degree. Are major US airlines still as anal about uni degrees or have they changed? We can start flying for airlines with a frozen ATP over here and don't have the 1500-hour rule that Americans do.
Is it true that part of your training requires you to listen to certain black box recordings of pilots who perished on that flight? What for? If true, what was the most haunting one?
I have these 2 bumps on my dick that look like ingrown hairs but they're not. Not stds. My doctor said they were pearly penile papules but I'm not convinced either. Should I see a dermatologist about removing them from such a risky area
papules are usually only on the rim of the dickhead. also usually more than two but if the doc checked you out and said that’s what it is the maybe it is.
if you got some balls on you you could grab a soldering iron and burn them off yourself. works the same as docs co2 laser if you’re careful.
Which airline ha$ the prettiest flight attendants. Do the roasties for Western airlines b***h about how other countries discriminate based on looks? Personal favorite country to fly to? How often do you have one night stands when visiting a place?
The ones with the prettiest flight attendants are in Europe like Ryanair or easy jet. And I am married so I don’t do one night stands however 2 flight attendants (from my understanding of that whole situation that night) they wanted a 3some with me but I refuse and I am not some type of sigma since they are super loose
>bottom barrel budget airlines have the prettiest flight attendants
Somebody I doubt this. I mean pilots are the best ones to know, hardly any regular passenger flies enough to get a proper sample size(for example the prettiest ones I’ve seen were on BA, and I doubt that’s a general rule. But I just really doubt the airlines that fly the trashiest passengers and probably pay the least have the hottest ones. Not only does it not make sense, it seems a bad idea to use hot blondes to fly around horny Brit 20 year olds and horny pajeets and horny muzzies. I’ve always heard it’s ones like qatar airways that have the hottest which makes much more sense. Also I think letting uggos and fats be stewardesses is a sign the west is falling.
yeah I don't buy budget airlines having attractive FAs. I flew on Scoot (a massive sample size of 1) and the women were super unattractive AND they had a male steward. They scrape the bottom of the barrel for sure.
>I don’t do one night stands >married
Those are not exclusive.
I mean, is cheating common in the industry? Because I've heard a lot of it and it's seems to be
Can I make some money out of ppl or cpl? Is it easy to find some buisness that will hire me for small freights or a millionaire to fly around? I don't like big planes and airports but small jets or single rotor planes are very cool. How is the market for that generally speaking? Or can you compare the salary in big aviation and small aviation?
Not op but another pilotgay
Under a few specific circumstances with the right connections and living in the right place it is possible to make solid money from a CPL. Anyone else will end up in the usual puddle jumper Pilot "starting hot spots" pipeline, where 300 People compete for something like 10 jobs (usual places Indonesia, Zimbabwe, Caribbean island, Brazil, Colombia) with a pretty meh payday.
Should I take flying lessons?
How much work per day do you do? For example I make $105k a year but due 2-3 hours of actual productive work per day.
Why are foreigners so damn pretty? I know better than to bother them but I rarely see people on the street or train in the us with anything other than disgust.
What does it feel like to be flying around in the sky all day? Do you sometimes feel like it's your home/world and the land is somewhere you just visit?
im not a pilot but alot of these statements on no rest time or paying for your meal are pretty inaccurate atleast in the US due to limitations on consecutive flight hours and regulations to make it soo you arent too tired to fly a plane and the unions definitely protect the pilots from going illegal (going over legal flight hours) if i recall
I think OP has stopped posting but there hasn't been an airline fatality in a 1st world country on a 1st world airline since those asiatics came in too low at SFO a decade ago.
Simply go for a discovery flight at a flight school. Once you understand a aircraft and how much effort goes into safety & precautions there's no reason left to be afraid of flying.
Should I leave engineering school to be a pilot instead? I am not very good at math and studying, does pilot school have a lot of that? Also, is it hard have a family as a pilot? Thanks
The physics is nothing harder than high school level, basic multiplying/ dividing.
Family is the b***h, depending on which field you go in. I've only been home a week in the last month, and I know guys that day they spent 300 days in a year out of a hotel
Hey I have my CFI CFII MEI and I have NO idea how to get a job instructing or preferably doing anything else with them. I keep hearing it's an insurance problem on their end. I also have no connections what would you recommend
I’m starting flight school soon but I refuse to cut my hair
Seems like my only option is to live in a shack in western Alaska and run mail for minimum wage
Where did you get your training for your pilot's license? If I want to get a pilot's license (for non-commercial purposes) do you have a recommended path?
Any hot stewardesses around or are you working for low-cost airline?
Yes there are hot stewardess
can I pay $1000 to a flight attendant in business class and have sex with her in the toilet?
if so how much?
>in the toilet
How can you fit one, let alone two, people inside of a latrine?
Very messily.
What plane types are you qualified for?
dash8
A330

There’s no legal requirement for that in my training, so no. If a teacher wanted to make us listen to that then that’s that
I have these 2 bumps on my dick that look like ingrown hairs but they're not. Not stds. My doctor said they were pearly penile papules but I'm not convinced either. Should I see a dermatologist about removing them from such a risky area

You’d be surprised when I was 17 I went down on one knee and asked her to marry me, she got super mad and started crying and walked to her house

I really enjoy Italy not because of the country but because of how easy the landing procedure is there(I hate italy)
Emirates holy SHIT, how is this even a question.
They are bang average girls. Korean Air and Wizzair have far hotter girls. The Koreans are like dolls rolled off a production line. So cute.
Would it be hard for a rookie pilot to manuever the planes into WTC 9/11???
Thoughts on skyking?
Ive always wanted to fly
What are alternatives to flying people?
Flying cargo? And maybe i will just joina club and fly for fun instead of work
>Ask a 23yo pilot anything
What's the difference between a pilot and a large pizza?
the pizza can feed a family of four
I'm a pretty big guy anon

OP what's the secret of your voice announcement being so unintelligible
most pilots are autist so therefore have bad emotional intelligence/public speaking skills
Tiredness.
How many countries have you introduced new HIV strains to?
i fricking hate pilots. fricking over glorified bus drivers you are. frick off with your ama.
It would seem someone's superiority has enraged you
>someone's superiority
Chinese busdrivers are superior to American fighter pilots.
Very jelly

What do you think makes you extraordinary? You drive public transport.
As a pilot (not OP) I approve this message.
I don't mean to put you down friend, just bored of people thinking when they get a decent laying job they're some kind of Nobel prize winner.
why are all defense/airlines pilots complete wienersuckers? t. LAME
It's not the profession that makes the man, it's the type of man who thrives in that profession.

How many jabs? Heart palpitations? Will you get jabbed again to keep your job? Your heart feel ok?
Are you worried about radiation exposure? You must be getting the equivalent of 500 chest x-rays a year.
