Best country to get a suit made?

Have a wedding in Lisbon for 5 days, but don't have a suit. Was thinking of traveling somewhere else beforehand and getting a suit.

Turkey? Mumbai? Thailand? Vietnam?

Hello my friend. Come to Mumbai, I make you suit, very high quality.

    >let me just spend 2-3k on air fare and accommodations so I can save a few bucks on a suit.
    Are you actually moronic?

Fares to any of these countries are around $700. Accommodations $600 for a week. From there it's cheaper to fly to Lisbon. Suits can be $300 for 2.

2 bespoke suits, a good vacation, and look good for a wedding, for less than one bespoke suit where I live.

      No I'm not moronic.

Well, the best would be England and Italy. Those are expensive though. Hong Kong has good tailors (but not as cheap as other countries). So I would say Thailand.

        >Suits can be $300 for 2.
That's too little, anon. If you're getting a bespoke suit get at least a super 120 wool fabric. No need to get those super 140 as they tend to wear out fast (unless you have a 10+ suits rotation).
3-400 usd per bespoke suit would be cheap though.

Out of those I would say Turkey if you want the highest quality fabric, yet still cheap. Thailand if you don't want to keep the suit for many decades.
I can't praise Turkish bespoke clothing and shoes enough. Even when I don't travel there, I still order shoes from Turkey. It's made to order, good quality leather, precisely the size I ask for, etc.
Thailand is also great for clothing, it's just they don't necessarily have access to some of the higher quality fabrics that are easy to get in Turkey.
Thailand might be a more relaxing holiday, though. And you probably can't tell the difference between the quality of fabric anyway. I just lived in the central business district of multiple big cities before, so I unfortunately can tell just by a glance.

Not op but I'll be going to Turkey soon, how did you find reputable tailors? Do you pay in lira, did you negotiate or was there a fixed price?

absolutely correct without actually saying it.

moron Ivy style doesn't include suits at all..but instead blazers or sports jackets and separate trousers/slacks. OP asked for a suit, more formal than anything you'd expect from ivy/prep styling.

Does anybody want me to go ask the tailors some questions? I had no idea it was a tailoring capital.

Two years ago I was in Thailand and curious about a suit. I realized practically ALL the tailors were Indian. I don't remember if I saw this in a video or if it was a conversation I had with a local but I remember someone telling me that the local Thais don't go to these Indian shops to get their suits and that all these Indian shops just outsource the labour to a Thai local. Indians do the marketing. Because of that it's better to find a legit Thai owned tailors shop to do the suit as they won't mark it up for you (or at least they won't overchage you to the same degree the Indians would).
Someone tell me if that's correct.

Italy is probably the best. Great textile industry, can get nice leather shoes for under $50. Bespoke suit probably will be €300-€1200 but you can be sure of quality. Choice of linen, wool, silk, etc. Cheap perfumes and designer clothing as well.
