Nup. Crowds been unbearable, weather varied between 5 and 28 degrees.

is right on almost everything but let me break it down for you.
best season is autumn because you get the momiji + it's cheaper than spring.
best food? hard to tell but for me it's ramen and unagi.
best region: Hokkaido prefecture is ranked #1 on polls made by japanese people. I really liked Kyushu and I'll probably visit Shikoku next. I just think that Tohoku is the most boring region. Ishikawa is the most underrated prefecture.
best fruit: maybe it's not the best but shine muscat is popular.
as for the hotel business hotel are golden, I liked capsules but they not ok for long stays.
