Just as you said. I have some independent contractor/freelance income streams and I subtract a lot of expenses from those taxes, to the point where I pay basically nothing and get gibs back. I use two companies in two countries that I have citizenship in, and usually I'm also filing taxes in a third where I'm working in some capacity to get a residence visa. My incomes are divided among them all, which keeps them low. Most countries' revenue systems don't audit or look closely at low incomes. The countries I file taxes in also allow the stupid defense (sorry, I made a mistake"), and at worst I'd have to pay back taxes, and most of it would probably be forgiven, or I could use a tax lawyer to offset them with additional deductions.

Traveling for free is a great adventure. Not sure where I said it was glamorous or beautiful though. Seeing sunrise/sunsets on the coast of Vietnam is beautiful though.
I usually stay with Filinpa girls for free. I promise to pay them back with a bank transfer but after a few weeks they realize their will be no bank transfer. One time I lasted 6 months before I got bored and left. She still sends me texts asking when I'll send the money and I keep saying "I sent it, please check with your bank". lmao she still believes money is coming.

Also some hostels offer free accommondations if you work for them during your stay

Try sleeping in finished hotels
Like in their roof tops? I don’t want to pay for a hotel room, not even in Vietnam.
Construction work starts early, you should be out of there by 5 am.
Never done that, don't see any reason why I would because there are always better places available with less security around than construction sites.
I've slept in abandoned construction sites though.
