Watched the heck out of his show on PBS. Still put him on for my mom and grandma since it's all free on YouTube
probably a lot of ticks in that field
Europe doesn't have ticks
retard
>Europe doesn't have ticks
We even have our own strain of tick-borne encephalitis, fool.
I remember watching him on telly when I was a kid, before discovering YT travel vlogs. Peak comfy. Great time, glad to see he's still producing content.
All his stuff is on YouTube. Higher quality than when you were a kid too
>watched every video he ever made multiple times
GigaChad reporting.
Holy based. I put on Rick when my Grandma comes over
Rick Steves Christmas Episode is pure kino. Watch it every year.
>Family Man
>Christian
>Still likes to knock one back and smoke a doobie
Yeah, Rick is based. I think his kid actually has a travel channel too.
>Family Man
Except for the part where he had a years-long affair with a woman who worked for him and wrecked his marriage to the mother of his kids, accurate.
But anyway, family missteps aside, I unapologetically respect him. He’s built a successful company and brand doing something he obviously loves. His guidebooks are solid, too. Best self-guided walking tour suggestions in print, far superior to the ones in some of the Lonely Planet guides.
Don’t watch much of the show, but his episode on Portugal was instrumental in planning my honeymoon. Wouldn’t have gone to Coimbra if I hadn’t seen him do it on PBS, and it’s one of my favorite towns there.
His guidebooks are good for finding places before they explode in popularity. They're always written though a native. Just look for the stuff not included in the version prior
Even when I was a child, I knew this man was a master of comfymaxxing his trips.
Is there any current Travel Vlogger who comes close to emulating Ricks vibe? I feel like he's left a hole in the genre since he stopped making videos.
Travel vlogs these days are always about min/maxing trips. They don't have the chill positivity Rick has
>They don't have the chill positivity Rick has
I want him to come back bros....
Gabriel Traveler is a boomer who just strolls and keeps things positive even when surrounded by pajeets trying to scam him. He's a comfy watch.
Rick Steves is the GOAT travel vlogger, a lot of his stuff is kino and some of his suggestions are really good. He really inspired me to give France another shot after the shithole that is Paris and he made me realize that the good of France is spread out around its borders, would have otherwise fully hated that country if not for that.
It's really good, and the senpai loves the videos to reminisce and plan a few vacations abroad.
>he made me realize that the good of France is spread out around its borders
Redpill me on this. Ive been to some very charming places in france. I wish paris was still good. I saw video footage of it from the 80s that was kino.
This video might be interesting for ya
This is a comfy video that shows an area of France I wasn't familiar with. Sold me honestly
