disappear

>Thailand has 76 provinces
So what's the best place over there to lay low for a while and disappear without a trace?
I'm not looking for any slums or crime infested places, just some remote part of the country without too many tourists, that has a few decent hotels with running water and electricity. It doesn't have to be the Savoy or Hilton but definitely no hostels or living in tents or whatever. Preferably with a couple of temples and national parks or some shit around, things I could investigate solo to stay busy during the day and not go crazy. Like a daily adventure.
My budget isn't tight but I can't stand life without smoking weed or drinking all day. Also I've only ever been to Bangkok before and went to a new prostitute each day, so there's that too. And I guess I'll have to eat something as well.
What's your honest opinion about how to go about doing this thing?

Lmao, this has yo be a troll post
You are NOT the MC of a gritty American thriller/spy film, you don't have the resources and Special Forces training to go MIA for months or years, you wouldn't last a week somewhere out in the boonies, especially in a foreign country

Nobody said anything about going bat shit crazy and living an assassin-special-ops lifestyle in the fricking jungle you dumb homosexual.
It seems all you people ever do in here is just complain about cummers and now that the experience of someone who have actually travelled around Thailand is really needed then that's not good for you either.
Surely there are places out there which are more remote and doesn't amount to complete tourist traps like Bangkok Pattaya Phuket etc, while still retaining some nice scenery that could keep your mind busy.

Hide in plain sight, like seriously just hide in plain sight.
        >My budget isn't tight but I can't stand life without smoking weed or drinking all day
Move to Minnesota or Arizona, go NEET mode on uncle sam's unemployment bux
        >What's your honest opinion about how to go about doing this thing?
I wouldn't because this is pretty stupid and the whole "wanna go lay low" is firstly, cringe. Secondly you're not going to "lay low" as a white guy in bangkok because there thousands of other white people around there. Also without knowing your budget suggesting anything is impossible, for all we know you have 5k and want to do this with flight+hotel+daily meals included which is a nice 2 month get away at best given "want weed booze hookers".

        >Surely there are places out there which are more remote
Yeah and then you wouldn't be living low, you'd be sticking out like a sore thumb to everyone

Its because Thailand fricking sucks now and has become such a horribly bloated meme of a country. There isn't a single corner of that country that hasnt been touched by some insufferable vlogger Youtube homosexual. Thailand is literally a giant tourist trap designed to spoonfeed idiots like you who waste their time and money to go there. Just DYOR.

Fingerprinted and photographed on arrival, ATM withdrawals tracked, your phone is tracked, cameras everywhere in public, your ID logged in every guesthouse...if you want to be anonymous, Thailand is the wrong country bro. Outsiders are always watched there.
        >places with nice scenery
And how exactly will you take your day trips? Hire a private driver every day? Rent a bike or car? Sneaking girls into your room? None of this sounds remotely like vanishing from everyone's radar, it's all normal tourist shit.
        >ID check on arrival
Yes, they want to make sure you aren't going to frick up their nice rooms. Hotels which allow anyone to put down a bullshit name always get trashed.
I'd recommend Mexico if you actually want to disappear. It's a meme, but it's true. You can change dollars at the exchange houses without ID, you can pay cash for rooms without ID, you can show a fake ID to buy a bus ticket if they even bother to check it. 180 days on arrival means you don't have to deal with immigration bullshit for a pretty long time, and only INM officers have the power to enforce immigration law. Carrying an ID is not mandatory in public, and there is not even a legal requirement to own an ID. A bribe will get you out of most any legal predicament. If you stay in the insecure parts of the country and mind your own business, nobody's going to pry. And some of those unvisited areas are pretty freakin' scenic.

        >I'd recommend Mexico if you actually want to disappear.

This. I accidentally drove across the border once from El Paso, TX into Ciudad Juarez in my own car with no passport. I say "accidentally" because the toll booths to cross the border into Mexico were completely unmanned and wide open and traffic was just flowing right on through to Mexico with no one being stopped, and there was literally no place to turn around so I just crossed the border and ended up staying 10 days in Mexico right then and there because frick it. Literally no one in Mexico gives a frick about anything, absolutely based.

        >Fingerprinted and photographed on arrival, ATM withdrawals tracked, your phone is tracked, cameras everywhere in public, your ID logged in every guesthouse...if you want to be anonymous, Thailand is the wrong country bro. Outsiders are always watched there.

And this. Thailand is the biggest fricking gay nanny state, I don't know where this reputation comes from that its some libertarian, off the beaten path paradise- its not, its a corrupt, over bloated, bureaucratic nightmare full of racist, judgmental, uptight pricks. These pussies were fricking terrified of COVID FFS, that tells you all you need to know. While based Mexico was wide open for tourism as early as June of 2020, low IQ dumbass Thais were locking themselves down and blaming white people for a disease that started in fricking Asia.

The first thing that I saw after the plane landed in Bangkok was a long line of tourists waiting to get their faces and fingerprints scanned before they were allowed to enter the country. The following weeks I've been to several hotels and during the check-in they've all asked to take a picture of my passport. I wasn't able to bring any girl to my room without having them checking her ID card at the reception first. So I guess what I'm really asking for is some sort of relaxed place without all these big brother vibes.
    >for all we know you have 5k and want to do this with flight+hotel+daily
Just wanted some estimation of a cheap daily food+lodging combination, while still living somewhat comfortably.
    >best given "want weed booze hookers".
These sort of things won't get you anywhere, spiritually speaking of course. You have to get over that stage of sitting alone in your dark hotel room and crying "I want my mommy". The best way is to keep busy, hence why I'm looking for places with nice scenery and some temples around.
    >you'd be sticking out like a sore thumb to everyone
But I thought Thai people were used to farangs going about their country for a few months of a self discovery trip or whatever before going back to Europe to finish their PhD and enjoy their remaining years in Dusseldorf.

I’m sure you will be totally off the grid and undetectable in Thailand, where you have to go to the immigration bureau every 30-90 days depending on the visa and every accommodation has to take a copy of your passport upon check in…

There's nothing in the north west of Thailand and nobody goes there. Because there's nothing there.

I don't advise you to go there, because there's nothing there.

Best way to disappear is not going to a remote location where people will turn their heads every time you walk by but going to a big/huge city (specially if not touristic) and staying outside of the touristic/expat/business neighborhoods. Rent places for a week, pay only using cash... Easy.
