I also live in PH and have never seen a flip deliberately try to cut in front of me. They are dumb as rocks and will crowd around something instead of queue unless directed, but that doesn't often happen.
They have many negative qualities, but they are timid and polite to white foreigners in general.
Of course they will timidly and politely try to scam you and lie to your face, but it is what it is. If I was brown and made $150 a month I would scam whites also.
Nobody ever lies to me or tries to scam me but the only way you can really find yourself in that position is if it's something where the price isn't stated. If you're white you can't go down to the local wet market and haggle on the prices for meat. If you're white you will have a hard time meeting someone from Facebook Marketplace and negotiating a lower price for some item. That's a job for your gf or wife to do. You just stay at home and sit on your ass and shitpost while they work it out. I remember when I lived with the family of my ex the landlord was surprised and said "I didn't know you have a foreigner living with you." I don't care if they are trying to scam me btw. Letting moron flips feel like they are in control and pulled one over on me gives them a sense of power and stability, and firmly cements my status as a resource to be exploited rather than a potentially dangerous unknown quantity.

The amount of extra money they "swindle" out of me per month is about 1 hour or work for me, and it keeps them all happy and convinced I am harmless and jolly. It's like a really moronic form of protection racket. They won't sell me out to worse people as long as they get their pittance. They keep scum away from where I live, so I don't feel like leaving. They turn a blind eye to my prostitutemongering and carousing.
I am immersed in their behavior. They are all rotten and all in on it, and so am I.

It's not like I'm missing out on anything by not going by myself. I don't want to go to a stinky dirty wet market anyway. From my experiences working with pinoys here I know how it all goes down. All the businesses get scammed somewhat by contractors. The government gets scammed worse than anybody. I don't get scammed at all because I know too much. I can figure out what things are supposed to cost. If I can't handle them myself I know how to find trustworthy people who aren't going to scam me to do so. My wife's family knows a lot of people nearby who they can trust so in most cases it's not really my problem. Otherwise I know how to figure out how much things are supposed to cost and know to shop around.

The only "people" who ever try to cut me in line in SEA were Indians and Chinese, and I physically stop them every time, which leaves them wide eyed and alarmed.
I believe the problem with these cultures is that people don't get the shit beat out of them for having bad manners. Chinese and Indian men often seem to me like they have never been physically confronted by another man before. They are completely terrified and helpless and very awkward when they are not given any option but to back down or get ass beat.
I often suspect it is the first time in their adult lives another man has told them what to do, with no recourse. At least that is what their body language seems like.
I have also physically restrained chinks who spit inside at bars, and Indians who stand too close to me. They are completely shocked to the core.

Why do Americans always exaggerate heat? It's 100 F here in Thailand, max. Humidity relatively low today, 45% rn in Bangkok. Higher humidity = clouds = lower daytime highs. Yeah, 100 is yucky hot under the blazing sun...you lay around in the A/C most of the day...but it's no 120 F heatstroke territory like Death Valley. Not even close.
There's no way that humdity reading is correct. Stations in your area are currently around 20 or 19C (dewpoint) (same sea level height).
Well, just sitting for a couple hours outside earlier doing nothing and I was covered in "sweat" after 10 minutes worse than if I had ran a 10k. The sun's almost down, and I'm covered in "sweat" as bad as if I were doing yard work in the summer. I guarantee with the with humidity earlier, it was well over 110, and well over a 100 now.

Heat indexes are a bullshit measurement...in high humidity you do not pour out sweat to stay cool. You simply learn not to exert yourself to the cooking point. I ate a ton of salty meat on the train, temps got up to 100 degrees with thick smoggy humidity before the dry front passed through, other whiteys were looking peaked, but I was fine.
