What's going to happen is as the seasons pass over the following years is that summers will get hotter and winters will get colder.
As the summers get hotter the ice frozen in the arctic regions will melt and release cold water into the deep ocean currents. After enough cold water has entered these current they will slow dramatically or stop entirely. This will cause a severe cooling effect on earth's climate.
In the moths following this, as the winter season moves in, we will enter a new ice age. It will happen fast and we'll be knee deep in snow and ice. Be prepared fellas, it's going to be cold as frick for a long, long time!
Earth will heal itself over this long frozen period though, lowering CO2 in the atmosphere and regenerating the atmosphere/ozone layer. Global warming is a partially correct theory. There are long seasons on earth and they serve a purpose.
