My recommendations, rent a bike on Balboa Peninsula, eat at All That BBQ in Irvine. SUP Noodle Bar is good too. Go to Laguna and check out the Main Beach. For breakfast, go to Chaupain Bakery. Hive and Honey has a rad rooftop bar. It's expensive, but worth it for a drink or two. Go to Goat Hill Tavern one night and grab a beer. If you have a bike, go ride the Shady Canyon Trail in Irvine.
I left Irvine last Thursday but i did go to Islands & All that BBQ as far as eating, Us Open of Surfing's first day at Huntington Beach, Six Flags for my birthday, my buddy and I scoping out hunnies over in Fullerton,
I bombed Shady Canyon Trail my second night longboarding like scraped my arm and leg to the nines.
>Anyone ever been to the Irvine Spectrum?
Yes, its a fucking shopping mall with chain restaurants and stupid "luxury" stores that sell shit only azn moms buy.
It's a little more luxurious than the mall you'd find in some flyover shithole like Katy, TX but only by a little.
oh god the irvine spectrum. back in the old days i worked for a bit for a software company that had an office in irvine so i spent a bit of time there. i don't really like driving in the usa much so most of the time i would stay at the marriott and just hang around at the spectrum for a bit or go to the cinema there. i mean it's not a bad place but it is utterly devoid of any kind of character or charm
I went there for my birthday back in the 90s, specifically to go with my friends to the Sega arcade there. Good times. Irvine is, I believe, the only big city in the US with a majority Asian population. It's like stepping into China.
>goes on vacation >decides Irvine, CA is the best possible place to visit
Why would you want to go to the most bland city in OC? At least go somewhere fun like Catalina or Big Bear for Christ's sake
Big Bear is pretty fucking trashy. The last time I was there to snowboard, there was an hour long line from the overflow parking lot just to ride the shuttle to the mountain. We ate at the worst Italian restaurant of my life instead and drove home. That was my last trip to Big Bear. Unless you're hiking across the Island, Catalina is fun for about 3 hours. The town is like 1 street with shitty knickknack shops your grandma would love and 3 terrible places to eat.
Irvine is centrally located and there is more shit within 30 minutes than you could do in 5 years. If you made a list of the 10 best beaches in the US, 7 of them are within 20 minutes of Irvine. The crime is also really low because there are essentially 0 blacks and the lowest percentage of Hispanics in the county with the exception of probably Newport Beach. When someone says a place is "bland", I know this is the diversity and flavor they crave.
>Why would you want to go to the most bland city in OC?
I don't think it's "bland", Irvine has their places and sights like anon mentioned within a 5-10 mile radius from each other & i grew up there as a teen throughout my early 20's.
There are a couple huge pre-planned communities in Irvine that are really nice. They apartments are different than almost any place in the US. The city allows the apartment companies to reject rental applications based on credit history, so the blacks and hispanics are extremely rare. The Mexicans will shack up in cities like Costa Mesa with like 10 people in a 2 bedroom apartment. That doesn't happen in Irvine. There is also a city ban on smoking in all multi-unit residences. That includes weed and cigarettes. That also really keeps the city nice. The third factor that makes Irvine nice is the high cost of living. Unless you're working a really high paying job, there is almost no way to afford it.
If you have any kind of personality that isn't based on consoooming or are even the tiniest bit punk rock or rebellious (and lets be honest, 99% of asians don't and aren't), Irvine is soul crushing. An example, Irvine used to have a cool amphitheater in a natural bowl valley with rock concerts. They tore it down to build wagecuck apartments. They built another
smaller one somewhere else but its small and shitty and doesn't sound good. The Irvine Company is like a giant HOA that runs the whole city with the goal of profitmaxxing their rentals and the people there are all like HOA Karens. It drives me nuts just being around them, they all "keep up with the joneses" driving leased BMWs 3 series while struggling to afford both their car payment and their rent for their 3rd floor walk up cuckbox doing a secretarial office job.
Sounds like someone made some bad life choices. How many Mexicans live in the house you rent in Costa Mesa? More or less than 15? I bet you smoke weed like five times a day and work part time in a corporate grocery store. Going to see bands in an amphitheater is not very punk either.

I lived a block away from that spot for 10 years. Newport is a really great place to live if you can luck into a good spot. There are essentially zero apartments for rent.
If I want SoCal weather and beaches, I just travel to Croatia. Southern California is a fucking suburban sprawl concrete nightmare with 0 culture and the worst of American stereotypes. Its ugly and boring as fuck, and they overcharge you a premium for the "luxury" of being there. Complete and total rip-off and an absolute cesspit, its like a Midwestern suburb parked next to the ocean except way more trashy, ghetto and expensive.
It’s definitely costly to live in Irvine again, that’s one of the reasons we moved away in the first place in 2015 is because our lease kept getting higher and higher. The women over there are bangers to look at and talk every now and then but most of them can be vapid and insecure about themselves.
Verizon Amphitheater was a haven for alternative rock and cool events until they revamped it for another multiplex of a shithole that barely anybody could afford, it was ridiculous.
somalian is the worst phenotype
we have better skin than most whites
look at your face bro
You still in Irvine? What have you done so far?

With the exception of Island's, that's some good stuff. You did your research.

Don't tell me this was your whole vacation, anon.

Newport Beach is a real life GTA area except you don’t get shot
