Have you ever squatted while traveling?

Have you ever squatted while traveling? Like maybe you were in a cash pinch and needed somewhere to stay but couldn't get a motel or hostel.

Based. Poor people shouldn't travel, it's bad enough when you have to walk past a smelly as frick backpacker who doesn't know how to use a shower regularly

I think actually squatting is a lot more noble than those pathetic white hippy like fricks who have started this disgusting beg packing trend. I only really travel to Greece(since I have relatives there) and oddly this beg packing trend doesn't happen there or anywhere in Europe. it seems to only happen in very poor Southeast Asian and Asian countries like Thailand, Vietnam, India, etc. It really boggles there mind how they can be such twats to visit such poor nations that they can't afford to travel to anyway and beg when there are natives far poorer than them that could use money more to live. I suspect many of those dirty hippies have fairly wealthy families and they just don't want to ask for money and would prefer begging.

Could it partly because mostly filthy Aussies are the biggest beg packers and they do it in their near abroad?

Thanks for the blog dipshit. Any other random, off-topic thoughts?

That is not offtopic. The beggar tourists are squatting adjacent. Heck probably many of them squat when their begging isn't lucrative enough.

My landlord in Asia finally contacted me after 9 months of not paying rent. Was hilarious.
I paid on time every month.
Turns out the real estate agency was scamming him.
Still it took 9 months for him to actually contact me or the agency which seems insane.
Imagine living in the west where everyone dues you out for a fricking cent.

yeah a place where a supposedly responsible company can scam an individual for months on end is so much better

Squatting is based, finding a nice, unoccupied home off in the countryside that was recently foreclosed or put up on the market and hunkering down is great. Sometimes the former owners left behind a pot or the utilities are still on and you can make your own food and sleep in plush bed or where ever.

Digital Nomads are really sleeping on squatting, frick hostels and frick hotels/motels and FRICK Couch-surfers or AirBNBs.

I'm gonna find a nice 3 million dollar, foreclosed home on Zillow and shacking up for the next month there.

I arrived in Durango, Mexico at midnight in October 2018, tried to sleep rough behind some shrubbery in a little park, but got noticed by a local, so I spent the night sitting on a bench in the plaza reading a book under a lamp. The police stopped by around 2 AM. to see what I was up to, but didn't give me a hard time. Some teenage street kids came up around 4:30 AM to hang out and chat. They had no functional parents, but slept in the daytime at friends' houses. The boy offered his sister to me for a dollar, joking about the amount but serious about the proposition. She was 13 or 14, and was eyeing me curiously. I said she was too young for me, which surprised them. He had heard that gringos like young girls. At 9:30 AM, I finally checked into a 160 MXN (9 USD) room at the Hotel Gallo. It was a dump, but I was so glad to be safely indoors again.
I spent two nights sleeping rough in city parks in Arizona in spring 2021. Tucson and Yuma. Both times I found a flat bench in a reasonably secluded area, and was not molested. After checking into a 65 USD motel full of roaches in Yuma, I gave up on traveling without a car in the USA and bought a craigslist minivan for 3400 USD.

You didn't squat, you just hung out on a bench.
