Hawaii

Sup, SighSee, long time no post. I'm going to have a 24 hour layover in Honolulu next month, and it's going to be my first time in Hawaii ever. Anyone have any suggestions on how to spend half a day? I had a shorter layover at the same airport last year during this general timeframe as well, so the only thing I know is that it's humid and liable to rain out of nowhere.

Just take the bus or an uber downtown, would recommend the bus because how fricked ubers are in cost now but depends on your bags.

Diamond head is fully back open last I checked, 1/2 a day is enough to fully see the boardwalk.

Oahu local here. The area around HNL airport is shit, but you can easily rent a car and drive yourself around. There's also a bus but only good if you don't value your time (which I dont think is the case given you have a short 24hr window)

You must have a reservation to enter diamond head for hiking

The Honolulu bus is really easy to use.

Mānoa Falls Trail is close to honolulu and free. You could also just go hang out at the beach and normiewatch. Make sure to eat some plate lunch and poke. That should fill up your day.

You can store your luggage at the airport.

Manoa falls is small and frankly too many mosquitos around

Do NOT go to Hawaii, Chud.
That land and the resources are for Hawaiians only, that includes layovers.

      Haole go home

      > half a day during the wet season
Honestly, not much to do. Most of Oahu is a shithole. If you were to do anything I'd consider going into downtown to see Chinatown, the palaces of former Hawaiian royalty, and maybe Waikiki Bay. I'd rule out anything on the north shore unless you know what you're doing, and since it's the wet season it's going to be rainy on that side of the island for most of the day anyways. There are a few hour-long hikes that might be worth looking at.

Anyone know how the women are in Hawaii? Does it differ by island? How are they compared to the mainland?

You gonna rent a car? The island is extremely beautiful if you want to drive around, although the weather may not be good.
Maybe just walk around downtown and get some food. Go see Waikiki and such

I have a better idea. You keep your white haole ass in the HNL terminal napping and donate what you would've spent oogling Oahu on repairing Maui.

By the way, I do not mean just the Lahaina fire. You have two hundred years of colonialism to help heal with your money. Then we can *maybe* talk about letting you visit heaven on Earth.

KAPU. Hawaii is officially closed to ignorant and selfish haoles until we see more than cheap talk about indigenous allyship and a few measely million from Oprah and Jeff Bezos.

Stupid question, but how do statements like this apply to Asian tourists? I imagine Japanese people give negative five fricks about colonial issues

You owe your continued existence to the magnanimity of your betters. I apologize for nothing, and will continue to creampie barely legal Asian teenagers while I use your sacred ancestral homeland as my personal Disney World, and you will continue to do nothing but mald and achieve new heights (lows?) in endemic obesity.

It's better to be the colonizer than the colonized. Seriously, what a b***hmade "insult" to call someone a colonizer; "your ancestors mogged my ancestors, which somehow makes me the winner here." Also, speaking of your ancestors, frick your ancestors. Stay mad.

      >repairing Maui.
I know this is bait but Hawaiin's need to be shit on

      >ww2 to late to now
      >have train rails located on each part of Hawaii easily connecting the entire island they were installed on
      >DA WHITE MAN BE HURTING THE ISLAND WITH LOUD IRON PIG
      >all rails fall into disarray
      >traffic skyrockets
      >DA WHITE MAN POLLUTES OUR ISLANDS WITH CARS WE NEED SOMETHING
      >ask for 2 billion dollars for a shitty <10 mile light rail
      >constantly frick it up with native votes on things
      >order wrong rails for things
      >order wrong trains
      >delay it constantly
      >do this with every other project to help make the infrastructure not shit on the island
      >"natives" complain about how it's ruining everything

Half a day is a real shame. The area around the airport isn't great, including the hotels, but I'm wrapping up my vacation today and overall it's been a blast. Given your limited time I'd reccomend one of the bus tours.
