how do i get a work visa in Japan and work at 711 like all the poojeets here?
bumping for this too. i gotta score an 80 on the skilled worker visa and have N1 proficiency to have a chance and i have an engineering degree from a top 20 university.
I don't know who told you this but it isn't a thing. You don't get a work visa to work a mundane shitty job. It's not how visas work (unless you can take advantage of one of those 'working holiday' type visas available to some people visiting some countries)
not sure about pajeets since i never talked to them, i never saw a nigerian working in conveniences store, mostly are just SEA or chinks, which speaking of which never saw asiatics in convenience stores either.
They are on special “skilled worker” programs. Its code for “brown people doing low paid jobs” by the government. Typically factory work, farming work or service like convenience stores and hotels.
Usually they can only access this visa if you are from the partner countries like cambodia/india etc and they go and register through the right channels and gain permission.
Others are students who get loans from companies who charge them based on their future income after they graduate university in Japan or senmon gakou.
Basically its not accessible to western countries, unless you go the language school/student routes and do the hours within limit.
adding to this info, they can work only for that loan company after graduate for the next 5 years (right before you can get residency) and can't change jobs because of the contract.
1. be willing to pay 6-9000 USD.
2. go apply for a student visa
3. there you go. if you skip the broker you can do a student visa at a somewhat lazy legitimate school for $3000 or so.
That's basically it. If you're from a specific country, you can do work study visa where theres no bullshit application fee and such.
t. american that missed out because of age but still worked mid 20's thanks to famous tech company.
in the end even though I did no work, it was fun but seeing konbini workers, lolgoodluck.
Good question. I see a lot of SEA people working in konbinis and cafes around here. Makes sense a dark-skinned Amerimutt like you would be interested in that.
I do wonder how they get in here. I presume most are students in Japanese language schools and other similar places that just take anyone with money. Even paying for it, its possible the money works out for them.
28 hours/week is the maximum allowed, but of course you can talk to your manager and negotiate a way to increase your hours
This, plus it’s just so easy to work a bit extra under the table for cash, cause nobody is really checking. The police ironically DON’T have anything better to do, but they don’t anyways.
I’m a 1st worlder, so I won’t be risking my visa like that, but the risk of being caught is pretty much 0.
>risk of being caught is pretty much 0
I don't know how true it is, but when I was reading up on this, I heard that they get you when you try to convert from student to work visa.
>Have a university degree >Teach English
Is literally your only option
Only reason poos, flips and brs get a pass is for cheap slave labour in factories etc.
You'll never see them in customer service jobs because Japanese customers are the biggest Karens ever.
I want to know this too haha it's my dream to work at a japanese convenience store 🙂

Will Japan accept a work visa for factory workers?

Some might be on the SSW SEA slave visa.
They're students. Same thing they do here in Canada: get placement at a shitty program, then work as much as possible.
t. Currently going through the Japanese visa process for my masters degree.
I thought you weren’t allowed to work on a Jap student visa?

How would they get you, assuming you were paid in cash and the hours weren’t logged?
Didn't realize we were talking under the table.
yea, unless you piss your part time job boss off and he decides to fuck you up at the end when you're converting.
The pay in Japan is not good, especially not to work at a konbini.
maybe he is from a 3rd world shithole where pay is even worse
