I simply don't believe that this happens at all. How would the dealers get their drugs back?

There’s only one way known to man to prevent this otherwise inevitable crime. After I pack, I fill all remaining empty space in my bags with spray foam insulation that I later chisel off my belongings. Depending on my destination I sometimes do the same to my colon in case the gangs try to plant the drugs in my anus.

      >I simply don't believe that this happens at all.
It literally doesn’t. There ARE so-called “blind mules,” but that just means that they give people who agree to transport *something* packages with hidden contraband the mules supposedly don’t know is also in there.
      >How would the dealers get their drugs back?
One of the many logical flaws in this excruciating forced meme. I think the conceit is that the security officers who search and bust you on arrival are collecting it for them; but of course, some numbers of cops would also have to be in on it. Very complex conspiracy, however the graft is sliced. They’d have to be very valuable drugs.

There's cases where drug traffickers will ask someone to take a small quantity which will be tipped off to the customs agents to distract them while they bring a much larger amount through using a more experienced mule. But this is almost a case of

It’s rare but it does happen. The smugglers usually have baggage handlers on the other end who opens it before it goes through any scanners. They also sometimes plant a little bit in random bags as decoy and tip off customs in order to keep them busy and get larger shipments through.

Again it’s rare and I wouldnt worry about it unless you’re traveling from a major narcotics distribution point

Anyone can smuggle drugs. Methods vary and so does levels of intelligence and ethics among the smugglers. Some smugglers will not give a single frick if some dipshit tourist risks 20 years in prison if it means decreased risk for themselves. The particular method of planting drugs on unwitting people is not very common compared to using willing mules, but it does happen

It is theoretically possible that airline staffers could be involved in a drug smuggling scheme with checked bags. The drugs would obviously be removed BEFORE you pick up your bag from baggage claim. No, they wouldn't "forget" to remove half a million dollars of product from your bag.

Okay, so how do you think the interaction would go if you as a blind mule DID clear your bag through customs with the drugs inside?
        >walks out to passenger pickup point
        >approached by CIA looking man

        >"Cool. I was wondering why the damn thing was so heavy"
        >"It will only take a second, sir."
        >opens suitcase, removes drug packages in front of cameras, passengers, security, everybody
        >pulls out wad of cash
        >"Here's $5000 as our way of saying thanks. Have a great rest of your day sir, it was a pleasure doing business with you"
        >"S-sorry but I don't need cash. Could I have some of the cocaine instead? I love cocaine."

      >Anyone bring their adderall abroad? Want to do a 2 month vacation but not sure I could get a travel prescription for that...guess i'd have to do 30 days and refill if im in a country that has something like it.

You should definitely talk to your doctor(s) (and maybe insurers?) about vacation fills, which I know are possible in some countries for some drugs, but the levels of regulation for tightly controlled meds like Adderall obviously vary a lot. My brother in the US is unable to get more than 30 days’ supply under any circumstances, but my kids in Switzerland can get up to 90 days’ worth. You should also get both an official new prescription and some sort of letter from your doctor concerning your diagnosis if you will wind up needing to try to get a refill abroad. Depending on where you intend to go, you may or may not be able to get Adderall at all (it’s not legal in Europe as far as I know; only methylphenidate-based drugs, which I think are Ritalin equivalents(?), are available here), but in any case you’re unlikely to be able to walk into a pharmacy with a foreign prescription and just get a refill, with rare exceptions (“cross-border/international” pharmacies in a few countries accept scripts from neighboring doctors). You’ll need to get a new script from a local doctor nearly everywhere, and the better your documentation the less annoying it will probably be.

Also worth double-checking (again, depending on where you intend to go) that Adderall isn’t straight-up illegal at your destination. A number of countries with unusually rigid drug policies (incl. UAE and Japan) have surprisingly long lists of completely banned drugs, sometimes including medications that are available over the counter elsewhere, and/or have annoying procedures concerning the import of necessary (usu. psychoactive) medications.

Thank you. UAE actually allows methlyphenidate if you get pre approved. Hard to get exact info for places like Morocco though.

I'm going travelling for an indefinite amount of time with a similar issue but a dexamphetamine prescription. I figure rather than deal with the hassle of getting prescriptions I'm just going to take the time to force myself to go without it. Ive been thinking about enlisting so I figure I need to cut it out at some point anyway.

Whatever you wind up doing, I hope you get some medical advice and do it carefully—I don’t know much about dexamphetamine in particular, but do know that similar meds can have unpleasant withdrawal symptoms if you quit all of a sudden.

Depending on what country you're traveling to it might be easy just to get more there for example in mexico many things are freely available from pharmacies and what isn't you can usually get a prescription for it quickly and easily.

Very few drug mules are "unwitting". Usually they've been threatened or blackmailed into it, because it's something anyone is capable of pulling off.

You might get photographed balls deep in a troony, that's how people become drug mules.

But having drugs planted in your baggage? Yea that's happened to me a few times.
    1. Guy tried to sell me his expensive bag in the departures lounge, said he didn't have enough money to get home from the airport. Being at the departure gate he knew which flight I was boarding, his gang would know which bag was mine on arrival. How did he even get to the departure lounge if he had just arrived? If he lived here why would nobody just drive to the airport to get him?
He hoped the greed factor of getting a gucci luggage set for $100 would entice a random person to carry his drugs back home, and he was actually in transit having flown in with the drugs on a low security domestic flight.
    2. Guy tried to sell me an artwork in the departure lounge. Wouldn't fit in his luggage allowance, couldn't get his money back from airport gift store.
Hoping someone would idly assume the item was clean because it came from the gift shop and offer to carry it.
    3. Taxi driver deliberately damaged my luggage on the way to the airport then gave (see: phisically stuffed my belongings in) an bag he bought on the spot from the roadside. I'm assuming someone at the hotel set me up.
And the problem was if I abandoned this bag before checkin security would still say I was in possession of the drugs, and this taxi driver followed me into the airport to try and ensure I checked the bag in. And they'd know who I was on arrival if I called the police on the spot.
So you see it's not always as easy as they make out in the travel advisories.

      2. Don't accept luggage from strangers.
      3. Don't accept luggage from strangers.

      4. Had someone photocopy my luggage tag, placed it on a random bag in bus luggage. The bus wasn't searched, on arrival the bus guy tied to hand it to me with my other bags but this random dude shouldered his way in and said it was his bag and ran off with it.
Yes, it's that easy for Syrian refugees to get drugs into Europe.
      5. Had people straight up ask me to carry drugs. Offered money, guilted into it, offered sex, etc etc. No deal.
      6. Had a pretty lady leave behind a bag in front of me and walk through security. The old istambul shoe polish hustle. When I ignored it I saw a different pretty lady pick it up.
      7. Had dirty cops say they found drugs in my baggage. Asked them what colour the baggage was and they were like "your name ian smith?" And when I said no they were like "sorry we look for ian Smith" and just walked off. Not even airport security, they were going to try and make me check my luggage out, drive me to a local police station and plant drugs in the luggage at the station.
Very easy for someone to SAY there's drugs in your luggage, a classic way to respond to scammers is to reply in French/ Spanish, pretend not to understand and pull out your phone. Even if they don't buy your Spanish, scammers will know you don't buy their act and unwilling to risk being recorded they will bolt.

      My advice:
Check your baggage before leaving the hotel, allow sufficient time to get to the airport. Don't travel with powders, liquids, things that look like drugs to begin with.
Be especially sceptical of anyone who knows or attempts to determine your itinerary. If somthing goes wrong just stop dead, don't get preassured into making decisions on the spot, ask for securities help even if you've done something wrong yourself. Security will usually understand that you've been set up.
Never carry anyone else's items in or through a security area. Any item, a scarf, an empty bag, a book, somthing someone lost, somthing you intent to sell on arrival. Just don't

      4. LOL, you can write Donald Duck as your name on bus luggage for all they care. At any bus station, cameras record the bags and their owners as they are being brought up to the bus.
      5. Don't accept luggage from strangers.
      6. Don't carry luggage that is not yours.
      7. Dirty cops shakedowns are a real problem, but it wouldn't be done with kilos of real cocaine. God no. They would have a little baggie of cornstarch and pretend like it was some cocaine they found in order to extort you. After you paid up, the baggie would vanish and they would let you go like nothing happened.

Wrap your bag in colored Saran Wrap a couple times. Then write your name in black permanent marker on the Saran Wrap. If someone removes the wrap and tries to re-wrap it, the signature won't line up. It makes it a lot harder to get into for someone to plant anything and obvious if anyone tampers with it.

    almost all situations are

    >BRO IT WAS JUST WEEED
