How do you Western Union yourself money in a foreign country?

How do you Western Union yourself money in a foreign country? I got my wallet stolen in a country without theft and I've been left without a single pot to piss in for the past month. New debit card isn't estimated to arrive until the 27th. I honestly think I'm going to kill myself if I don't get some human contact soon.

    >Hock your passport.
Sounds shady but legitimate businesses will do it, did in Phnom Penh in the 2000s and was surprised at how little the interest was.

    >Hit up your embassy
They don't tell people but they will actually loan you cash if you can prove that you got your shit stolen and you need to pay for hotels or something.

    >Western union
I'm kind of certain you can do everything online assuming you have online banking but I'm really not sure in the end and don't want to give you garbage advice that makes your situation worse.

You can use a bank account

Western Union wants you to have a bank account where you pick it up. That's not an option for me

What do you mean. The one thing western union has going for itself is that they give you cash? Are you sure you are going to the right place, a lot of places have "Western Union" signs outside their building like weird banks but their services are limited, are you sure you are going to an actual Western Union office?

If he's in some country like Korea it will require a local bank account. I just used the andriod app for most shit in other countries though for cash pickup at their branches.

Did you file a police report and try the embassy? Dip.

How much money do you need?
                How serious is your situation?
Can't your family send money to to you?

I've been manually unlocking my credit card to buy things like flights, hotels and food delivery. Issue is, I couldn't find any decent restaurants in Taiwan so McDonald's literally started giving me epilepsy. I'm a fricking mess right now. I don't even know if romance can help me at this point. It's ogre

                >replied to me without responding to the questions
hope you get your arteries clogged by mcdicks, body eaten by stray cats and your parents never finding out what happened to you

Thanks for the insults but I did try the police. I don't see why the embassy would help if I can get food off of Grab. It's not a horrible situation but I'm sensitive. I want chicken, eggs and rice without oil. I want to go on dates.

I don't get it. I'm not in that desperate of a situation at first glance. I just got out of major depression and I'm insanely emotionally vulnerable. I need to go out and meet people

      >didn't bring a phone with NFC
This is why I bring 2 phones with me, NFC on an old iphone is invaluable if shit goes south.

The problem is in SEA and some other countries they won't let you receive cash or funds without a resident card, bank account, phone, etc. I had to use WU abroad, couldn't use it in some countries without a bank account South Korea was big on it. Had to go get a prepaid visitor card->CC money to it via NFC

If Western Union doesn't work try converting some money to bitcoin and selling bitcoin for cash.

In worse case, go to embassy/consulate and ask for consular assistance.

Why do people do this? Refuse to make any preparations for eventualities like theft or robbery, then have a meltdown when it happens?
Keep a backup bank card (and/or a few Benjamins) in your hotel room, well-hidden in your bag.
If the destination is particularly unsafe, remove the hotel tag from your room key and leave your primary bank card in your room. This way, even if robbers drug you, they can only get the cash you are carrying.
BTW I resisted the idea of carrying my wallet in my front pocket for a long time, but it feels so much more secure there in a dense crowd that I always carry it up front these days.

cuz it's fricking Taiwan. I was clinically depressed for most of my life so nobody was really that envious of me but my eyes are so bright and blue now that every woman in East Asia wants to have sex with me so incels can't handle it. I literally have never had sex and they stole my wallet out of envy.

This is where crypto comes in use. You can find someone willing to do OTC trade anywhere else in the world if you look hard enough. It would be especially easy in Thailand since there are local crypto meetups in Bangkok.
