Boeing's reputation is literal garbage now.
The only big name now is Airbus. And if Boeing continues with their track record, China's planes will overshadow Boeing and become #2 to Airbus in another decade or so.

Probably better than Boeing, and could do better if given the chance. However, knowing America, they'd pull some under the table shit to make sure it never becomes a significant competitor to their Boeing.

Brazilian Embraer makes a larger passenger plane. There’s also bombardier which is Canadian. But they only make larger luxury planes.

Yes it is. Almost all of the production is there São José dos Campos-Professor Urbano Ernesto Stumpf and at one or two other souther Brazilian locations. The founder was literally a German who precisely set it up there for these reasons. And the airport is named after another airspace specialist of German descent.

The Embraer regional jets have very good airframes and are reliable. Lots of redundancy and manual reversion. The newer ones have enough seats and comfort to compete with Boeing and Airbus products.

How is it the flight crew's fault?

You can also argue that the blown-out door a while ago was made in Malaysia, but the real culprit is that it's missing a bolt. That clearly isn't a problem with the component, but with the assembling and maintenance, both of which are in the US. Unless other manufacturer like Airbus also suffer frequent failure on the same component, you can't just shift the blame like that

But in reality all commercial wide body and the majority of larger narrow body airplane engine components trace back to MTU aero engines or some to Rolls-Royce Trent so, if diversity is established there that’s it.

its possible, im going to discount it we've seen better companies fall by the way side because of it. But i think because of the reliance of tech and processes that are decades old and established hence nobody can really compete and so forth it'd take a lot more than diversity to frick it all up.. but that doesn't mean they're infallable.

The thing is as boomers die off their knowledge often goes with them. There are some experts in engineering / mathematics that only had something like 30 students they passed their insights to. And if 28 of them are white and are no longer employable cause they're not diverse enough that leaves 2 people that know what they're doing in a massive industry.
And usually those students are old now too and about to retire.
What I'm saying is in the next decade there will be stuff that nobody knows how it works and how to fix it.
