It's tough to be frugal when your pay depends on the generosity of others, but if you want to have enough money to travel, you're gonna have to stop "treating yourself" and throwing around money in your free time. Once you get the right financial habits going, your money will save itself, and you will have the freedom to enjoy a summer break in Europe.

student loanmaxx and finance a trip abroad that way. My cousin is in a shitty community college and did just that, after a degree he's looking at a starting salary of 55k so he figures the $15k on loans he got for travel in a semester abroad would be worth it. He spent every weekend from Jan to June going to a new country while living it up in Spain on the downtime. He blew through all of that cash, but the free time and availability is something he'll never have again so in his view it was worth the loan.
