Most of the world apparently doesnt have hvac. You could be in germany 95° F and you might not find an air condition in any home.

Dont know how true that really is though

Air conditioning in Germany isn't needed. It only gets hit for two weeks and then goes back to a mild temp.

I am only a Gaijin tourist, so I have only stayed in Airbnb's but in Tokyo and Hokkaido in December and February respectively I stayed in places that had central heating, or at least one of those wall fans with the moving blade that heats or cools the entire house in like 10 hours magically from 28 degrees celsius to 75. Being Japan they also have really cool technology like heated toilet seats and heated floors, but I do not know what the average Japanese household is running, maybe thats just because those places were made for toursits?

Did you ever get escorts to come back to an Airbnb?

a few times. it's best to convince them you live there so they don't feel the urgent need to scam you since they'll have a longer time.

Good point. I usually like that allure too so I can convince them to not use a condom. Not escorts, just regular girls

I've seen these in older places but in newer places its normal heating. The Japanese girl I dated brought me back to her parents place that had one of these. Apparently their places had paper thin walls too so at night her parents could hear us go at it like crazy. It made for awkward breakfast times

yes. heat retention in japanese houses is shit and if you use the AC unit to warm up your room, you're gonna have one fuck huge electric bill during winters. that's why there are kotatsu and gas burners and the lot.

No, that's not true at all OP. Most houses in Japan are burning coal or gas.
