Is safe to travel to Kaliningrad?

Hi! I'm planning an Eurotrip but I wanna spend a couple of days in Kaliningrad.

I'm planning to get into the city from Poland and reentering into the EU via Lithuania.

My main fear is not being able to enter into the EU or UK after the stay in Kaliningrad.

I'm South American.

just to know the city, not because it's less popular but cause it may be a lot more different from the rest of the Baltics.

This area is one city and some towns and they all look like any other place in Russia, devoid of any soul and character. Having Gdańsk and Vilnius nearby, but going there instead is quite moronic.

I never visited Russia before, so I think it was an opportunity to know a Russian city.

I'm also visiting Gdansk and Vilnius, is a 1 month trip. My final destination is Edinburgh for Hogmanay.

Anw, my real fear is not being able to enter the UK or EU after staying in Kaliningrad.

This is actually fairly accurate. For being so huge, Russia pretty much looks all samegay, from Kaliningrad over Syktyvkar all the way to Vladivostok.

It's like what the other Baltics would be like if they were still part of the Soviet Union.

If you don't need a visa to visit the EU then you'll be fine.
It's not like a Kosovo or Israel situation where countries will deny you entry if they see the stamp on your passport

I don't need a visa for either Russia, UK or the EU.

Do you know if they're stopping tourists?

    you will be fine
EU isn't a police state like US which restricts entry based on your travel history

Ignore the homosexuals here, they're probably butthurt belters.

It's safe to visit, and you can take a bus to Kaliningrad from Gdansk, just make sure you have the correct visa and everything. There's still people entering and leaving Kaliningrad from the EU.

Not sure why you'd be barred entry from UK for visiting Russia, btw. Seems a bit excessive and unjustified.

When you're there, check-out the nature there, its very beautiful, they have these forresty dunes right next to the beaches. The forrests there are nice too.

I recommend walking around Svetlogorsk, you can take a train there directly from the station in Kaliningrad.

      Thanks a lot!

I only need my passport, I can travel visa free to UK, Russia and EU.

I was thinking that caus the war, European countries were being extra cautious at the borders.
