Theoretically: everyone says WE'RE NOT WITH YOU ANYMORE LMAO GO FRANCE and the UK is left on their own. Would be neat to watch an open war between the two again. From the comfort of our homes eating tendies of course.
This is so far fetched as to make any speculation meaningless. The UK's defence strategy makes use of being surrounded by friendly countries and France’s defence strategy makes use of being allied to the UK's stronger military. You may as well ask what would happen in a war between Narnia and Middle Earth because you are suggesting a war between two fictional nations.
I thought the Bundeswehr was still pretty solid. They have a lot of new military innovations and some of their Nazi designs were so forward thinking that they're still in use (notably the MG 3, some of which are literally 70+ years old and converted from the old MG 42 produced in WWII). Their biggest priority since reunification has been self-defense but they're not like Japan where they're legally bound to be all-in for self-defense and nothing else
Kek, they recently announced they would run out of munitions in 3 hours if they went to war. If you want a laugh look at who their defense minister is. Even Ukraine could conquer all of Europe if they weren't busy losing to Russia
> by a long distance
France is just as good everywhere but the navy. And France has twice the number of active military personnel.
Poland is also fast rising as a European military power, in terms of land forces they're already better than the UK
Now that UK left the EU, what would happen if France decided to annex these islands? Would Bongs be able to fight? Who would help them?
They are islands so Britain's natural naval superiority will prevail.
A world where Poland is a) hostile to the UK and b) in a position where massed land forces help them achieve a victory over the UK on British soil is just boring fiction.

The UK is the strongest country in Europe militarily by a long distance and allied both officially and culturally to nearly every European country.

Neither one has a military what are they going to do arm their blacks with machetes and run thru the chunnel?

There are less than 5 nations worldwide that can operate independently globally, Germany isn’t one.
