Might go check out Kiev for a few days. I have a few days off. Night train Warsaw to Kiev is working. Marriot affiliate hotel is open. Anyone been recently? Any recommendations? Thanks

whoops, OP here. meant to write "Kyiv" instead
You had it right the first time
Russia lost its chance to name it after the 2022 Great Feint of Kyiv
What's that, some popular suburb of Kiev?
I hear its a real blast
Frick, just spotted yet another typo. It should be "Київ," sorry guys!
It should be "Huev" actually
was there a few months ago. easy enough to transit in via warsaw->przemsyl->lviv->kyiv. if you're planning to take a train out via pryzemsyl, *make sure to book ahead of time*. Like weeks ahead of time. These trains fill up fast, even first class (which itself is dirt cheap).
as far as life in western ukraine, it's super chill. people in the larger cities (lviv, kyiv) live mostly undisturbed, air raids are largely ignored, etc. curfew does exist in every region, and they take these seriously. not a place/time to goof around. people in smaller towns or villages appear to have not changed at all.
the people are of course exceptional, some of my favorite in the world. if you're from the west (especially american), they'll treat you like royalty in almost everything you do.
haven't visited east of the dnipro since 2022, so don't have any tips. There are daily trains running to donetsk, mariupol, zaporizhzhia, odessa, etc. rail infrastructure fantastic, never a late or missed train.
unironically. i'd be careful using kiev, they take this pretty seriously (now).
Nice painting, can someone tell if it’s AI or not so I can enjoy it?
It’s AI from something I didn’t read on /misc/
Going to look at regular tourist stuff and this one day

I’ll post pics in a couple weeks if anyone is interested
I'm interested
Ukraine is on my list of potential destinations for 2024
wonder what the status is on Chernobyl now, if they let tours back in or not
i am polish and Kyuv sounds to me closest to Kijów
There are less expensive ways to unalive yourself, OP.
