...If you have money.
I rented a huge apartment with my family near the beach in Santa Monica and the weather is perfect, the food is good and the beaches are insanely good, is not as crowded as I thought it would be, maybe because its not summer yet
However, I went to downtown los Angeles and it was really bad. My take is center, center lost angeles not very good, northwest and southeast really cool.
The LA coast is paradise if you have money. Perfect for going to college and grad school while having the time of your life and endless possibilities. I wouldn't want to buy a house here, but while in your youth go for it anons
Literally almost everywhere in the West is good if you have money. It doesn't change the fact that Californiaites are insufferable mongs. Why spend that much money there when you can live like a king in Malta or even the Spanish Islands?
Yep exactly. California is not only overpriced it is godless like the rest of the US
At any rate, stay sheltered
>Californiaites are insufferable mongs
Yeah and everyone in the south is retarded fat a fucking their cousin
Is that why every fucking state surrounding California and beyond despises californians to the point that there are signs telling them to go home? Maybe because they are really insufferable, obnoxious, woke libshits that nobody likes.
Yep exactly.
After years of living next door to real love morons, I will sharing your gated communities with you, liblets. Thank you for your hospitality.
We bring wealth, prosperity, and actual decent human values to the republicunt chud wastelands neighboring California.
seethe more in your shit-stained trailer cletus
Reddit needs to reopen already jfc.
Is that why California lost 332,000 residents – more than any other state – and $29.1 billion of net worth from them? Even libtards hate other cali libtards
Wow! Thanks for the input, we really need real travelers like you, modern Christopher Columbus so to speak, to tell us about all these far away places only seen in fairy tales from the far east and known only by the most experienced explorers.
you speak like you've solo sailed across drake's passage to do extreme wildlife photography or something. relax anon. it's not a contest
As a European, I actually enjoy opinions about different places in the US.
>If you have money.
ok I dont have
What's a good area/hotel for a 24 hour layover in LA? Just looking to do some tourist shit and eat good food. No cooming, no dangerous/high risk shit.
Santa Monica, you get what you pay for
Beverly hills
Burbank and universal if you're poor
Don't stay in:
Dtla
Hollywood
Glendale
The valley
South Central
Near the airport
USC
Midtown
Venice
thanks lads, Santa Monica was #1 on my list but now this confirms it.
I'm the first poster and I live by Santa Monica, would recommend
I've lived an hour away from LA all of my life and have been countless times
venice > santa Monica
last time I was there, I hung out and did shrooms with some really chill homeless guys, one was from Russia, and we painted and watched the sunset
shit like that happens all the time in Venice. it's fun if you're sociable and willing to get a little grimy to meet interesting people
santa Monica is just a strip mall on the beach. the pier is a tourist trap.
I stay in Venice every Time I go
anywhere is fun if you're sociable and know the right people anon, this isn't a secret.
the people in Santa Monica are typically more snobby and uppity than in Venice though. the people in Venice are more interesting and you can have a better time. that's all I'm saying.
sorry you've had that experience in SM, thanks for the feedback.
Venice is a shithole filled with homeless people, mexicans and blacks. There is nothing wirth seeing or doing in Venice beach.
The weather is sunny and 70 for most of the year in LA. They get 2 weeks of fog in late may and early june.. It usually burns off by about 1 every day. Santa Monica definitely has a lot of homeless people, but they keep them off the pier and out of the main street where the shops are. This is exactly what you'll see any day of the year
why are people on sighsee so afraid of homeless people and minorities lol
all there is to do in Santa Monica is shop at a Nike store and ride a roller coaster. At least the people in Venice are interesting, not just soccer moms and their bushrat kids.
Youve probably never had to live near morons, let alone next door to shitskins that have conspired to steal things from you.
you'd be quite wrong, I lived in Inglewood for a few years.
makes me lol that you live in fear of these people. this is sighsee after all, though.
You're too far gone if you see morons as people.
>afraid
I don’t like seeing them. Much in the same way I don’t like looking at piles of shit or dead bodies.
A better question would be: Why would I want to spend my vacation with a bunch of nigs and homeless people?
there is quite literally exactly the same amount to do in Venice as there is in Santa Monica, save for the tourist trap pier and the piece of shit aquarium
you just don't know how to have a good time
>I hung out and did shrooms with some really chill homeless guys
and this is why I don't take sighseetards seriously right here.
they have interesting stories. that's my main reason for talking to strangers, to hear interesting stories.
the worst thing a person can be is boring, and hobos are generally NOT boring
how is that any worse than traveling 3,000 miles to fuck some 16 year old boy because you can't get pussy in America?
like this anon said
stay sheltered
so is Little Tokyo a no go? (about to visit in November, and I don't want to regret it)
It's alright. Borders on skid row so there's still a ton of homeless but Little Tokyo itself is nice, kinda more weebish now than actually japanese.
Little Tokyo is definitely fun for food/drinks. Like the other anon said stay around the main village and you're good
Same with Koreatown. Great kbbq and nightlife but don't want to be wandering around late at night
Seconding Santa Monica. It’s close to LAX and it’s pretty nice.
So is Manhattan/Hermosa/Redondo beach, those are nice places.
I'll also add don't stay in Inglewood or anywhere east of 405 except maybe Culver City.
you lived there or were on vacation with your family?
Santa Monica would be more fun. Manhattan Beach would be more convenient because it's closer to the airport and also nice. It's not as exciting as Santa Monica though.
>is not as crowded as I thought it would be, maybe because its not summer yet
The weather has been unusually cold. While it doesn't get as hot on our beaches as it does in Florida, by June its typically hot as balls everywhere east of the immediate coast but this year it has been cloudy and in the 50s or 60s every day and we've even had some rain which is highly unusual.
It's called June Gloom and it happens every year
>Lost Angeles
>Lost
>If you have money
How much did it COSTED you, jeet?
>Lost Angeles
About how far is that from Lost Vegas?
4-5 hour drive
I've heard Santa Monica is full of crime, homeless people and drug addicts. Also, the weather on the SoCal coast is chilly, gray and damp for much of the year. June gloom is a real thing.
you're thinking of the central coast. Southern California has nearly year round sunshine
>t. have lived in Southern CA my entire life
sighsee chuds are to afraid to go to the big city and too poor to go to the rich people coast
Is it a good idea to stay a bit out of the city in somewhere like Malibu?
Visiting Califonia for the first time soon, doing the PCH drive from SF to LA. Want it to be more of a relaxing holiday with hikes, etc., not just ticking off touristy stuff.
Will already have a car for the drive down, Malibu to places like the observatory, santa monica doesn't look too bad of a drive...?
The thing about LA is less about it being the expensive homeless camp car sprawl that it is, and more to do with the gay culty attitude of Californians hyping it up way more than it deserves. Californians are ironically very similar to flyover fags in that they somehow think their shithole is the best place in the world to live.
LA is basically Detroit now, in the sense that like Detroit, it lost it’s reason to exist. Just as the car factories went, nobody really cares about Hollywood anymore. Their gay woke bullshit and streamer fags cucked them and now there is no reason for LA to exist anymore. Also people used to go there for women and rave about how hot they were but the uglification of American women is so severe that that isn’t even really a draw anymore. The average woman anywhere in Europe mogs the fuck out of the average woman in LA. And of all the actual gigastacies in LA probably less than half of them were born in the US. I think even British women who have the worst genetics in the world mog burger bitches at this point topkek
most Californians hate LA, despise having to visit it.
I'm not from NY, but I imagine it's similar to how upstate/rural NYers view NYC
you have never been to LA
I have been to LA. It’s overrated af. The weather being perfect is true because of no humidity. But it feels like a giant suburb and not really a proper city. The homelessness and high cost are not a meme. The girls are hotter than most US girls but get mogged by Euro girls easily. None of those fuckers on Venice beach will let you take a piss anywhere. Had to have some chill Mexican manager of a staples let me piss after a painful journey looking for a place to piss. Mexican food is pretty good. My opinion of LA was “meh” outside of the homelessness being terrible and everything being very expensive. Not the best or worst place, but very very overrated. Cope and seethe bro the US is a shithole and Europe is better in basically every way other than weather.
Santa Monica does not have the best beach in California, though. In fact, Santa Monica pier is one of the dirtiest beaches due to hosting a major storm drain.
Dirtiest beaches in California:
1. Erckenbrack Park (Foster City, San Mateo County)
2. Marlin Park (Foster City, San Mateo County)
3. Santa Monica Pier (Santa Monica, Los Angeles County)
4. Mother’s Beach (Marina del Rey, Los Angeles County)
5. Moonstone County Park (Humboldt County)
6. Newport Bay, Vaughn’s Launch (Orange County)
7. Lakeshore Park (San Mateo County)
8. Tijuana Slough, north of Tijuana River mouth (San Diego County)
https://www.latimes.com/california/story/2022-06-22/new-report-card-grades-the-dirtiest-beaches-in-california
If you want to safely swim in the Pacific Ocean every day in California, I suggest buying a house in Orange County instead of Santa Monica because Orange County has the cleanest beaches in the state.
Heal the Bay 2021 to 2022 Honor Roll: To earn a spot on the Honor Roll, a beach must be monitored weekly all year and must receive an A+ for all seasons and weather conditions (Summer Dry, Winter Dry, Wet Weather). The Honor Roll is typically dominated by Southern California beaches, in part, because many Northern and Central California Counties do not monitor beach water quality year-round
https://healthebay.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Beach-Report-Card-2021-2022.pdf
Unfortunately, not every beach makes the Honor Roll. The beaches that received the ten poorest Summer Dry Grades are called Beach Bummers.

>no central coast beaches
ngmi
One thing I like about the beach here is that there is walkable sandy shoreline all the way from near Sunset blvd to the Marina del Rey inlet. In most other places in the world, all you have is pocket beaches between rocky shore, seawall or private property.
>walkable
fuck off with this retarded Reddit lexicon
I don't know what you mean. What I do know is I live here and actually walked that entire stretch of sand in a day. When I look at the coastline of other places in California and around the world, I don't see many other places you can go that much distance on a continuous beach.
I believe Australia has the most beaches in the world
>Australia's coastline stretches almost 50,000 kilometers and is linked by over 10,000 beaches, more than any other country in the world.
>When I look at the coastline of other places in California and around the world, I don't see many other places you can go that much distance on a continuous beach.
Absolute retard
