Based. Staying a month in Tokyo. I do one activity per day and then sleep the rest of it. Other travelers remark on how often I sit around the hostel.

    I'm enjoying myself.

    Sure thing
    >always fly business class so you don't use energy having to deal with cattle conditions and can sleep
    >destinations with good public transport only, driving is tiresome, while long train/bus rides give a lazy way to see the countryside
    >always book hotel next to a train/metro station to minimise walking
    >hop on hop off buses to see the city
    >install local food delivery apps like Wolt to experience local cuisine in your hotel room

You can go anywhere and be that lone guy sitting on a bench watching everyone else have fun. If you want chill solitary social vibes, you've gotta go to places where theft, scams, begging and hustling are uncommon. Otherwise, you will be frustrated and angered by the scum continually demanding your attention in the street, or having to deal with people trying to rip you off on the regular. Also it helps to go places with public parks and other spaces where you can spend time outdoors relaxing. Some Third World cities are all business, and one gets real damn tired of walking around in the heat and noise and traffic after a few days.
Picrel is a beach near Mersing, a small city on peninsular Malaysia's east coast. Much of the Malaysian coast has very little resort development. I didn't visit the famous Tioman Island, but it looks like an idyllic tropical paradise with clear water, jungly mountains and no roads. Perfect for relaxing the days away...

I did a nice beach bum trip in south Florida once. The keys are great too. I also like the lake of the ozarks. You can rent a little cabin with good access to bars and restaurants but still be isolated

find a small town with scenery and nature you might like (especially one off main highways), stay there for a couple days
I've done this in several places near where I happened to be working at the time, but I think you can probably do at least as well almost anywhere, depending on what kind of weather/topography/amenities you're looking for

    Do cruises.

unironically cruises since everything there is catered

Cruises are great for lounging and getting drunk
      Mexican beach or resort town
Air BnB in the woods. Cascades or Sierra Nevadas or Appalachians or Ozarks

this is not the SighSee approved answer, but it's the best one.
pick when you want to go
pick WHERE you want to go
      pick your luxury/cost ratio
      show up.
      that's it
