Mediterranean beaches ranking

I've wanted to do this for a long time, so I'm gonna ask here on travel: which of these countries genuinely have the most paradisiac beaches, which one are underrated, which one are overrated (example: greece and spain beaches are always potrayed as super beautiful with pristine water, but is it really like this)? Which have te potential to become beautiful and clean? Portugal is included in this also

Spent some time on the Greek islands and on Croatia's coast and the rocky harbor beaches on Hvar ended up being my favorite
Plaka beach on Naxos is said to be one of the best in the Cyclades though, and I do not disagree with that statement

I think a very underrated place for bathing is the etruscan coast in tuscany. The sand color may not be ibiza or sardinia, but the water in the clear days is transparent, If you go in pietrabianca the beach is beautiful... too bad some kilometer in the north there is the solvay dumping canal

      > he doesn't enjoy the dystopian, 40kesque beauty of Rosignano-Solvay

This board is full of pussies
Just don't go with your head under the water level and you'll be fine.

greece and spain have an insane number of beaches, and yes a lot of them are super beautiful, but it doesn't mean every beach will be like that. Also beach beauty is very subjective, I love sandy beaches with clear cyan water, some of my friends prefer rocky beaches with deep blue water, you get the idea

Try Sicily. You can't beat San Vito lo Capo/Scopello/Zingaro.

Does anyone have good beach and beach town recommendations on the east coast of Italy? Need to kill a few days before next destination.

In the north you can check the Riviera Romagnola, or San Benedetto del Tronto.

Basically anything on the atlantic side is dogshit. Portugal, Western France, and most Moroccan beaches not on the northeast side of Morocco are absolute shit.

France has relatively good beaches from Perpignan to Marseilles, but it's better to just go offroad and look for one that isn't chockfull of tourists, but it's becoming a real problem every year.
Spain's Costa del sol is nice if you forget about the britboomers. Tarragonna, Benidorm, Torremolinos and Marbella and their surroundings aren't half bad. I think Tarifa is well known for surfing too.

Corsica is full of hateful fricks that do not want you there and they WILL b***h about it but if you don't give a frick, I say go. Place is beautiful and so are the beaches.

Morocco is absolute dogshit in the current state of affairs. With domestic tourism becoming a bigger part of the moroccan economy, the entire coast is getting filled with southern and central sand Black folks that literally shit up the beaches. Also, anyone who's been to a city beach in Morocco has been swimming in sewage as they literally pour that shit into the open sea. Seriously, Tangier has an open fricking sewer that pours liquid shit in the middle of the city beach and people SWIM there.

I don't know about Algeria and Libya except that Algeria is basically the north korean equivalent of Morocco and Libya is as bombed out and depleted as this fricking board is.

The rest i mostly do not know about so i don't have any opinion.

3robis (the central and southern people) do indeed flood the northern beaches every summer but there are still tons of lowkey perfect places. You just have to have your own car. As a rule, if the beach is near a taxi or bus station don’t go there. So basically only go outside a city. Pic related is a beach I went to all summer. Only people with a car who are willing to spend more than 30 euros on petrol will go here. It’s a stone beach so the water is always clear on this side

I don't want to shit on your beach if you like it there, it's a matter of preference, but the lack of vegetation makes it pretty ugly in my opinion

It all depends. Famous beaches that are just filled with rental chair and plain sandy shores can look nice on pictures but are kinda boring. I'd rahter have lots of rocks and nature to snorkle which some beaches lack since it's preperable to not having kids hurt themselves.
    >super beautiful with pristine water, but is it really like this
It is at least in greece. The color is also really beautiful, though can't remember if it was similar in mallorca. In general the sea need to be calm ofc and to windy weather creates waves which will make all beaches having silty water.

Simons beach > Elafonisi > Es Trenc
Those are good because they are also having more than just a beach and also have some nature to walk around. Southern France like Plage de l'Espiguette is huge to walk around but the water is kinda harsh and often silty

I'm surprised no one has mentionaed malta yet, arguably the clearest waters in all of europe and it's not even overcrowded with tourists.

Many cruise ships stop by on the island nation which can cause congestions of tourists but very few actually stay on the island.

Turquoise reefs and warm weather all year around, lots of medieval architecture.

Valencia's beaches were amazing. There were plenty of topless beautiful women there. Some even played this sort of badminton game, which I really enjoyed watching.

    i grew up in (south)Cyprus

there is an awesome off-road beach called Zapallo Bay. You will need a car ,the entrance is to sign posted properly, and you have to go down a small hill. It's sandy, turquoise and will have a maximum of 5 people on a big coast. Half of them will be fishermen usually

Theres also Fig Tree Bay beach, but can be crowded. Despite the degenerate tourists ,ayia napa nissi beach always looks picturesque and water looks nice. The crowd however makes the water quite dirtier than it looks
