My greatest dreams is to travel to Japan and still be young, I'm 22 now but I do not have the money and I'm worried by the time I can afford to travel to Japan, I will be in my 30s by then which means I will be old, two days ago, I was scammed 500 pounds and I'm never gonna get it back, for this month I've got to live off no money whatsoever for a month as I have no money.
I honestly feel like killing myself, do you think I will ever go to Japan one day and be young?
It's All Fucked Shirt $22.14 |
It's All Fucked Shirt $22.14 |
I thought it was an impossibility and ended up going at 26, anything is possible anon keep your chin up
What do you think you'll be missing out on by going when you're 32 vs now?
I'll be old and not young. I won't be viewed as fun.
Lol'd. Yeah, I can see how someone with that viewpoint would get scammed.
I hope when you get older, you won’t be as naive as you are right now
to be honest anon you're probably not viewed as fun now anyway
how did you get scammed anyway?
>I won't be viewed as fun.
By who? If you're traveling solo, why would you give a frick about the opinions of strangers?
>I won't be viewed as fun.
Are you going to Japan, or is your alter ego who's super cool and everyone likes (and doesnt exist) going to Japan? Genuinely curious.
>that pic
You poor, delusional boy.
I think your biggest issue is that you're incredibly socially autistic.
>all these angry old people replies
Anon you're right. Go while you're young by any means possible. Get a job there now, while you're young. Yes you can enjoy Japan when you're older but it won't be as fin and you'll get less attention from cute 18 year olds the older you get.
GO NOW. DON'T LET YOUR DREAMS BE DREAMS.
Unironically, KWAB
OP here, sorry this was a troll hijacking the thread as me.
Before 30 I'm going to have a vasectomy so I need to impregnate as many Japanese women as possible. I already have plans to go to Roppongi and catch myself some Fujoshi.
damn this post really mindbroke the boomers
Yeah but it NEEDS to ego smash the try hard Millennials
32 is old. You won't have access to top tier teenagers (18+ of course) in Japan.
Plus the older you get the less ability you have to hold your piss. I'm 39 and have to piss all the time. That makes traveling very restrictive.
This is what I was dealing with recently. 2 years ago I was freaking out over going at 24 or older. But it'll be the same shit. I was supposed to go next year and was bummed out that I had to hold it off and use a lot of my saved up money to help with my grandma's funeral expenses because I lost her, but then I remembered Japan isn't going anywhere. I'll be fine going in 2025 when I have a better job and higher pay
22 year old me who hung around esport/nerd/cosplayer prostitutes: all women should be respected and you should never flirt with them for the fears of being a creep, also follow every single social norm
32 year old me after having life ruined by people who shaped the 22 year old me: "I don't intend to be rude but you are really cute and i would like to grab a drink"
36 year old me aftering hitting off on a cute girl on the train: "wanna go to a rest/love hotel and frick?"
Looking back I wish I never got involved with morons in my 20's im thinking of all the pussay i could have had if i had confidence in myself and realized that people do want to hookup and be hit on (with limits and respect of course)
the 30's were the best time i had because i was way more open to situations and meeting people.
zoomer here, nah I'll never flirt with women
You assume it's harder than it is. If you think it will be difficult, thats true. If you think she will be easy, that's also true.
zoomers past highschool just don't know enough people to risk alienating any of them by blowing a relationship or attempt at one
people in this gen will cut you off and stonewall you like THAT over fricking anything, and instead of meeting new people they just sit inside and watch youtube
>36 year old me aftering hitting off on a cute girl on the train: "wanna go to a rest/love hotel and frick?"
I'm 36 and I do this too. It took me many years to realize women want to skip the games also and get the foreign white guy dick they are after without some sort if stupid dating bullshit.
I went when I was 28 and had a great time, you'll be fine anon.
>pounds
british people are moronic. i don't see what difference it would make. i'm 31 and going there next year with all the money and time (quit job) to do absolutely everything i could ever want to with no limits. also i got id'ed to buy alcohol a few weeks ago and im also british (moronic)
You’re not worried about blowing all your savings on a single trip to Japan?
I just sold a house I owned for 4 years that went up 40% in that time (don't hate the player)
My dream for 5 years -- really since I was a younger kid but now taken seriously and with planning and real intent -- was to stay there and get a long term Japanese gf and eventually wife and then I stayed for 6 months starting last December, actually dated a few, and realized this dream was moronic.
I had this intense vision driving me for so long, and then it just fricking evaporated beneath me. I dont know what to do anymore and am contemplating just kms
lmao this has to be a troll thread
I wish man. I am not even a weeb just a sperg. I thought I could find some girl that also felt like an outcast, why else would you date a foreigner, and was looking for something else.
Sucks having your dreams disappear. I honestly dont know what the frick I'm going to do now.
Its alright man. Many go through the same. I went to Japan for 3 months when I was 19 and am very glad I thoroughly 'got it out of my system' at a young age. Nearly 10 years later I live a normal, well adjusted life in a far less gay asian country and am married to a white woman
>I live a normal, well adjusted life in a far less gay asian country and am married to a white woman
That would be my dream. How did you meet a white expat in an Asian country?
what are jap girls like
Autistic but in the really cold and hard to read and get along with way. Lots of first/second dates and two couple month relationships, maybe it gets better if you have years to adapt and get used to it?
Not incel and not a weeb. Got tired of western girls trying to top from the bottom, just a constant fricking dance with them, decided I would see what a different culture was like. Well, figured out to cross grorious nippon off the list. Maybe slavic or chinese next, I dunno. Slavs always complain about their women, but so does everyone, and chinese seems like a stretch.
>Autistic but in the really cold and hard to read and get along with way.
Oh man do I relate to this. This is completely true. People are racking on you but I understand where you’re coming from. I’ve also dated a Japanese women and she was one to one exactly how you describe.
> and chinese seems like a stretch.
it's sideways
Most will never tell you how they actually feel. Japanese girls are fun to frick but long term relationships are difficult. Chinese/Vietnamese girls are more upfront and looking for long term marriage. So it's really more like what are you looking for?
what's up with incel weebs and Japanese gf? they are no different from others. best is stick to your own community due to culture similarity.
>Be white
>Live in my white people country for 15+ years
>Got catcalled once 6 years ago by some drunk college girls, still riding that high ever since
>Nobody else gives me so much as the time of day
>Visit Japan
>Within day 4 I've already made several female friends and been approached by skiddy Jap girls wanting to talk/hang out with me
Nah man, frick white women.
Eventually you will
Save yourself the drama and just don’t go. If you’re all doom and gloom now, it’s not gonna be fun by the time you actually get to. Maybe travel somewhere else closer, cheaper, with little expectations?
In addition to that, Japan isn’t all that great. It’s a cool country and I’d rather visit it than like, Nigeria, but weabooism and internet propaganda has a lot of people thinking it’s some sort of paradise when it really isn’t. Not more than any country can be a “paradise” for the über rich
Eat shit you little zoomer b***h.
>muh old
Shut the frick up. Just wait until you have money. Your youth doesn’t mean shit. You’re probably not even an attractive guy. Average at best. Go frick your self
-32 year old
I guess just play your cards right and you should get there
i got to live the anime fairytale in Japan when i was 23 and it was fricking amazing. best year of my life. no larp, you frickers can never strip me of these memories, seethe, cope, etc.
I'm 21 right now. I strive to be like you in the next few years. I can do it!
save up
Japan is a really cheap place to travel, you could do a 30 day trip for like $1500 if you stay in a capsule and only eat convenience store food
Is this possible with no knowledge of the language?
im in japan rn and know no japanese. You feel kinda moronic and judged all the time, but it's easy to get by. Restaurants are a pain but the subway has signs in English
NO ONE speaks english though, impossible to make conversation with locals
Thanks for the reply. are you traveling the whole country or only Tokyo/big cities? Are apps that translate what the camera sees useful? I’m a big foodie is the word I guess so restaurants would be important to me
honestly I dont use em but im strongly considering it, a lot of restaurants do have english menus or you can just best guess it, people usually understand common English nouns like specific food names, I've only been here like a week tho.
Honestly a lot of Jap food is weird as frick so I mostly eat whatever western food I can find here lol, that and convenience store food, sushi, tonkatsu, easy stuff
side note: its pretty easy to find burgers, pizza, and mexican food here, some of it is pretty good too
>a lot of Jap food is weird as frick
What? They eat noodle, rice and vegetables with like fried pork, fish or egg on top 99% of the time. The weird stuff is what, fermented beans and random pickled things? These are almost always tiny side dishes to the main course of rice/noodles and whatever.
nah bro they eat a lot of weird ass shit, you'll see of you come here
Hell, just look at the restaurants in Tokyo on google maps
Its meat and beansprouts with some kind of vinegar chili sauce???
they eat horse meat here bro, just warning you 3/4ths of restaurants here are weird AF
So does France, it's expensive you won't get it by accident. I've spent a ton of time in Japan, you're just moronic and used to eating fast food and frozen dinners. Go to a Sapporo/Hokkaido style restaurant or a hole in the wall ramen place. つけめん style ramen is my favorite, especially if they have extra thick noodles.
well i thought you were OP, frick off in that case
Ramen is the biggest goyslop, way too much sodium
>sodium meme
Not an issue unless your shit's already wrecked. Literally just drink water.
its just not good, its fricking salty ass soup not food lmao
That's right. Keep eating sodium and drinking water. Just keep doing it.
>horse
its uncommon to find japanese who eat horse.
I've lived here since 2018 and i have no idea what the frick you mean by "weird", by asian standards Japan is tame as frick on all fronts as far as food goes.
White people like Japanese food because its pretty palatable for westerners. Not a lot of spices, basic flavour profiles. Only thing that might turn some people off is raw fish (my aunt and uncle are like this), but its definitely a lot more normalized now that it is in the past.
People who think Japanese food is "weird" need to leave their flyover state for once.
thats not weird. Thats ground mince meat, beansprouts and vinegar chili sauce, you uncultured dork.
thats basically a meat, a vegetable, and a sauce.
>be me
>be Norwegian
>decide to go to Japan at age 21 because I could. I didn’t even have to save up money
>mfw I am going again this summer at age 25
Feels good being from a wealthy country
>I will be in my 30s by then which means I will be old
bro, please...
>I do not have the money
get a job you mong
most part time jobs pay some £400 p.w, even part time
you could save up enough for a holiday package + flights in about 6-8 months, shorter if you really nolife it
you have plenty of time
Frick you I am 33 and I am not old
Cope, grandpa.
lol why this attitude bro?
I know 30s hit different but atleast we had normal childhood, our brains formed before internet was big, before soc med was big, we are not suicidal or autistic for lack of parental care, but just old fashion traumatized like our parents and their parents etc lol
Also - these younger peeps will turn 30 one day nobody escapes it hahaha so why worry.
Except we get to live our 30s before AI hits the mainstream, when they get to 30s, who knows what will be of the world.
And the benefit is we appear more weathered, experienced and wise/unique to 20yrold pussi, compared to the cloned minds of youth trying to hit them up.
Its win win I was born in perfect time.
All of the experience and wisdom, none of the "dunno how to interact with ppl" bullshit of kids these days hahahhaa
Flawless!
Pic rel - if you know u know.
>zoomies hitting 30
Anon I don't think the majority of zoomers will be lucky enough to see 30. The ones that do will be hardened war vets. While us "boomers" will have enough time to get the hell outta dodge or have a plan to weather the shit storm.
If you’re in your 30s why do you sound like a child?
Listen here you young whipper snapper, I'm 35 years YOUNG and everyone in Japan still treats me YOUNG. They usually can't even tell my age, they think I'm 18-22 even though I clearly look 35 to European and Americans. This helps me pick up young chicks at clubs and libraries, and McDonald's.
get an employable skill like be a tradesperson, or get a degree in something. doctors will always be paid well, especially in the US. live with parents to save on the unreasonable costs of rent in modern society
i don't know how poor you would have to be to not afford a 2-3 week vacation while living in the west
30s is probably the sweet spot to travel. Still young, but much wiser. You'll be able to navigate easier and appreciate the traveling more then.
>31
>all the time and money to travel as I want for a few years (quit work for a while but not wealthy enough to permanently retire)
and
>got id'ed to buy alcohol a few months ago
>not even going bald
I used to be mid 20s staring out of an office window on a sunny day wondering about how life is passing me by, but it really worked out that some decisions put me in a good position, at a quick glance at least. It's not all great, I am really quite jaded about life and I don't think my will to live is ever coming back
Dude those first two bullets are literally me. Hope your existential crisis works out tho.
I was 25 when I went to Japan. I just graduated from university and had only 8k in my bank account. I saved up from non-stop part time jobs since 14 years old.
Best trip of my life and it was before smartphone/smart phone/data SIM/free wifi easy mode. Just bought a flight ticket 2 weeks after graduation and was in Japan 2 weeks later with $2000 worth of yen, cloths on my back, and a stack of printed route/ticket/hotel instructions.
Spent a month there and found a real full time job 2 months later. Since then I have been going to Japan every 2 years.
When I see people in first world country whine about no money too old etc, I shake my head and thank the god that I achieved my goal.
>BOOHOO I STILL HAVE A FORESKIN AND MY GOVERNMENT WONT TAX ME WHEN I ESCAPE MY SHITHOLE BOOHOO
t.burger
Immigrate to the US and join the military(yes they let foreigners enlist), maybe you can get stationed in Okinawa kek, or maybe worst Korea
At least that way you would get paid too, and at least shoot guns or something. Can't be much worse than rotting in bongland if that's what your options are
>in my 30s by then which means I will be old
fricking moron
>I was scammed 500 pounds
confirmed moron
>pounds
>scammed
>no money in bank account
Why are most brits like this? Most of my coworkers just waste all their money at the pub and then complain they have no money.
I'm 30, got plenty of money in the bank and am going to Japan this year for about £5500.
Get a job, work for a year and you have money to go.
NTA but I recently spent like 8k on a business class ticket to Japan.
>paying 8k to sleep on a plane for 8 hours then watch a couple movies
Why?
Because the alternative is to spend 12 hours in a cramped seat in an uncomfortable position. Why would you pay money for THAT? Business class is actually comfortable to be in and the food and drinks are great
so I take economic class you have to pay for food or buy at the airport and take that on the plane? that's what I chose. don't really care about the seat for 12 hours, used to do it for 16/17 when I was younger in front of my computer
So you spend 8k because you are a moronic pussy and want to be "comfy", got it.
It's his money bro, who really cares what he does with his shit.
lmao so much seethe just because you're too poor to travel in comfortable conditions
it's not just plane. it includes guided trips, hotels, tea cerimonies, shinkansen, bus, rail, any other venues/classes, breakfast every day, lunch more than half of days, dinner 1/3 of days
how long are you going for? going next spring for 3 weeks and i already know it's gonna take a huge chunk out of my of cash pile (+2 weeks in taiwan i wouldn't be surprising if whole trip comes close to £10k)
14 days
ok so my spending expectations are roughly in line with yours then
just keep in mind I'm going with an agency, so that's why it's cheaper than if you do and get all that by yourself. also going with a friend, so the rooms end up cheaper
>just keep in mind I'm going with an agency, so that's why it's cheaper than if you do and get all that by yourself.
lol
sure you can achieve cheaper/same by going by yourself, but you'll be budgeting really fricking heavily on food, transport and paid to enter places, services and events
and if one does not know moon, it's hard to get lost and one learns more and visits more places this way
Looooool
Lived in Northamptonshire (east midlands i.e. quite a bit cheaper than London), software developer, lived like a israelite and didn't spend much for a few years instead saving all I could, only put down a £30k deposit and got a ~2% mortgage rate back then. Was a nice house too, semi detached in a village. I mean, it's really fricking over in several different ways to even try something like that now, and that was only 4 years ago
I don’t understand how people can act like going to Japan is their only passion and destiny in life and then turn around and say
>but I don’t speak the language
>but I just eat western food
I’m not a sour grapes homosexual, but it really seems like you people have no character besides following trends.
but i speak the language and like the food
> tfw got to see Japan at 19 for 2 weeks by complete chance
The dialog with the university mates asking where the frick I am and getting nothing but a pic out of my window in Tokyo was priceless.
fren, I just started my traveling and I am nearly 30, it took me a few years to save up, finally I was able to visit Japan this year, don't sweat it, you have many days ahead of you to travel. You will get there. Just have patience.
Nobody should live past 30. Particularly and especially women. Do things while you’re young and then have a nice day
Reached the same conclusion, I'm 31
Accepting it is the only way to not be cringe
t. 27yr old white male
Just gonna Hermitmaxx in a few years and go Goonmode
>another one of those tfw im 22 and cant travel, ill be to old when I will be 30
How unsecure are you, or are you a coomer that only travel to get laid? Everyone have problems but overthinking such stuff when you are 22 and basicly thinking your life will be over once you hit 30 (or do you have terminal illness/are balding midgetman?) is bordering mental illness. Most japs dont care a slighless about turist, even people that hand out advert on street dont bug you because theyre so afarid of foregin contact/having to speak in eng.
I was in jap 6y ago and let me tell you, im not a weeb, but i like japan for history/culture, atmosphere and some old anime/games. It was still far from i expected. I was kindda unimpressed by it, but after few days and when I returned back home I grew to appriciate it more. At that point in my life I travelled to few far east asia countries and jap was gonna be like a crown gem in my head, but it wasnt/isnt it. Its superb country to travel but main turist group that go to jap are weeb or yellowcoom obssesed individuals that go straight into aki for anime merch/maid cafes or are crusing tokyo to "meet" their asian bootcall. If youre this unhidged, its no diffrence wether you are 22 or 30, if youre not charisma magnet/have luck probably you wont made any real long lasting conections, I know few people that lived in jap when they were 24-27 >1y and they didnt formed any real meaningful relationahips beside fellow expats despite trying really hard. Quit maladaptive daydreaming about your future and how it would suck because at some point yeah, it probably will when you grow old.
why are you psyching yourself into thinking 30 is old and somehow bad? I'm 33 and my life was never better.
Gee thanks for the totally organic crypto shill post.
What the frick even is in Japan? Wasn't that place bombed to shit? Do you really enjoy travelling to Blade Runner tier cities?
that seems kino honestly
just go. as soon as you can.
