My greatest dreams is to travel to Japan and still be young, I'm 22 now but I do not have the money and I'm worried by the time I can afford to travel to Japan, I will be in my 30s by then which means I will be old, two days ago, I was scammed 500 pounds and I'm never gonna get it back, for this month I've got to live off no money whatsoever for a month as I have no money.

I honestly feel like killing myself, do you think I will ever go to Japan one day and be young?

32 is old. You won't have access to top tier teenagers (18+ of course) in Japan.
Plus the older you get the less ability you have to hold your piss. I'm 39 and have to piss all the time. That makes traveling very restrictive.

This is what I was dealing with recently. 2 years ago I was freaking out over going at 24 or older. But it'll be the same shit. I was supposed to go next year and was bummed out that I had to hold it off and use a lot of my saved up money to help with my grandma's funeral expenses because I lost her, but then I remembered Japan isn't going anywhere. I'll be fine going in 2025 when I have a better job and higher pay

22 year old me who hung around esport/nerd/cosplayer prostitutes: all women should be respected and you should never flirt with them for the fears of being a creep, also follow every single social norm

32 year old me after having life ruined by people who shaped the 22 year old me: "I don't intend to be rude but you are really cute and i would like to grab a drink"

36 year old me aftering hitting off on a cute girl on the train: "wanna go to a rest/love hotel and frick?"

Looking back I wish I never got involved with morons in my 20's im thinking of all the pussay i could have had if i had confidence in myself and realized that people do want to hookup and be hit on (with limits and respect of course)

the 30's were the best time i had because i was way more open to situations and meeting people.

Not incel and not a weeb. Got tired of western girls trying to top from the bottom, just a constant fricking dance with them, decided I would see what a different culture was like. Well, figured out to cross grorious nippon off the list. Maybe slavic or chinese next, I dunno. Slavs always complain about their women, but so does everyone, and chinese seems like a stretch.

In addition to that, Japan isn’t all that great. It’s a cool country and I’d rather visit it than like, Nigeria, but weabooism and internet propaganda has a lot of people thinking it’s some sort of paradise when it really isn’t. Not more than any country can be a “paradise” for the über rich

White people like Japanese food because its pretty palatable for westerners. Not a lot of spices, basic flavour profiles. Only thing that might turn some people off is raw fish (my aunt and uncle are like this), but its definitely a lot more normalized now that it is in the past.

People who think Japanese food is "weird" need to leave their flyover state for once.

I know 30s hit different but atleast we had normal childhood, our brains formed before internet was big, before soc med was big, we are not suicidal or autistic for lack of parental care, but just old fashion traumatized like our parents and their parents etc lol

Also - these younger peeps will turn 30 one day nobody escapes it hahaha so why worry.

Except we get to live our 30s before AI hits the mainstream, when they get to 30s, who knows what will be of the world.

And the benefit is we appear more weathered, experienced and wise/unique to 20yrold pussi, compared to the cloned minds of youth trying to hit them up.

I was 25 when I went to Japan. I just graduated from university and had only 8k in my bank account. I saved up from non-stop part time jobs since 14 years old.

Best trip of my life and it was before smartphone/smart phone/data SIM/free wifi easy mode. Just bought a flight ticket 2 weeks after graduation and was in Japan 2 weeks later with $2000 worth of yen, cloths on my back, and a stack of printed route/ticket/hotel instructions.

Spent a month there and found a real full time job 2 months later. Since then I have been going to Japan every 2 years.

When I see people in first world country whine about no money too old etc, I shake my head and thank the god that I achieved my goal.

just keep in mind I'm going with an agency, so that's why it's cheaper than if you do and get all that by yourself. also going with a friend, so the rooms end up cheaper

sure you can achieve cheaper/same by going by yourself, but you'll be budgeting really fricking heavily on food, transport and paid to enter places, services and events
and if one does not know moon, it's hard to get lost and one learns more and visits more places this way

    [...]

Lived in Northamptonshire (east midlands i.e. quite a bit cheaper than London), software developer, lived like a israelite and didn't spend much for a few years instead saving all I could, only put down a £30k deposit and got a ~2% mortgage rate back then. Was a nice house too, semi detached in a village. I mean, it's really fricking over in several different ways to even try something like that now, and that was only 4 years ago

I don’t understand how people can act like going to Japan is their only passion and destiny in life and then turn around and say
    >but I don’t speak the language
    >but I just eat western food
I’m not a sour grapes homosexual, but it really seems like you people have no character besides following trends.

    > tfw got to see Japan at 19 for 2 weeks by complete chance
The dialog with the university mates asking where the frick I am and getting nothing but a pic out of my window in Tokyo was priceless.

fren, I just started my traveling and I am nearly 30, it took me a few years to save up, finally I was able to visit Japan this year, don't sweat it, you have many days ahead of you to travel. You will get there. Just have patience.

Nobody should live past 30. Particularly and especially women. Do things while you’re young and then have a nice day

    >another one of those tfw im 22 and cant travel, ill be to old when I will be 30
How unsecure are you, or are you a coomer that only travel to get laid? Everyone have problems but overthinking such stuff when you are 22 and basicly thinking your life will be over once you hit 30 (or do you have terminal illness/are balding midgetman?) is bordering mental illness. Most japs dont care a slighless about turist, even people that hand out advert on street dont bug you because theyre so afarid of foregin contact/having to speak in eng.
I was in jap 6y ago and let me tell you, im not a weeb, but i like japan for history/culture, atmosphere and some old anime/games. It was still far from i expected. I was kindda unimpressed by it, but after few days and when I returned back home I grew to appriciate it more. At that point in my life I travelled to few far east asia countries and jap was gonna be like a crown gem in my head, but it wasnt/isnt it. Its superb country to travel but main turist group that go to jap are weeb or yellowcoom obssesed individuals that go straight into aki for anime merch/maid cafes or are crusing tokyo to "meet" their asian bootcall. If youre this unhidged, its no diffrence wether you are 22 or 30, if youre not charisma magnet/have luck probably you wont made any real long lasting conections, I know few people that lived in jap when they were 24-27 >1y and they didnt formed any real meaningful relationahips beside fellow expats despite trying really hard. Quit maladaptive daydreaming about your future and how it would suck because at some point yeah, it probably will when you grow old.

why are you psyching yourself into thinking 30 is old and somehow bad? I'm 33 and my life was never better.
