you need to cut down on your expenses, if you live with your parents it should be easy to save 50% of your income

A lot of shit in third world countries. This seems low even for eastern europe tho, which, if you're an English speaker there you should be able to just go somewhere that pays more and leverage that skill. Same with a lot of thidie places that have western tourists but not shitholes like India or Africa so you're SOL there.

There is a lot more countries other than usa and europe my dude, like a lot of them and all of them very poor, think Argentina and its 290 usd min wage lmao, and the rest of south america is equally buggered, just check their mins wages and take into consideration there is no disability checks or welfare whatsoever in most of them, maybe food gibs in argaytina and Chile? No idea really but I do know there is no welfare like the one we have in yurop

First step is to get a second job. You should be working 60 hours a week. Second step is to cut unnecessary expenses, such as renting an entire room for yourself. Get a roommate or two. Cook your meals communally; this saves a lot of money and will allow you to continue eating quality food. You want to bump your savings rate from 15% as high as you can get it.

Gringo homosexual what do you know about life your whole state babysits you your entire life

        >just pull yourself by your bootstraps bro

        >just pull yourself up by your bootstraps bro
Exactly, you little crybaby Eurogay. I have lived entire seasons spending 400-500 dollars a month while working in America. In fact, it wasn't until my 7th year of adult life that my monthly expenses began regularly exceeding 1000 USD/month. Eating nutritious food the whole time as well, so I wasn't tired all the time. I travelled America for six months in 2015/2016 and spent less than $3000. One road trip in 2020 covered 8700 miles of spectacular scenery in 54 days and only cost me $1700 USD. Of course, I had a minivan with a bed in the back, but there are ways to travel for dirt-cheap without a car anywhere in the world.
You can easily live on less than 340 USD a month in your country, I guarantee it. It'll be good prep for your budget travel life, which will involve strict financial discipline, an embrace of challenge, and the ability to adapt to whatever sleeping situation you end up in for the night.

I had a job where I made $10 a hr. Saved enough to pre buy all lodging and airfare. Then have 1,600 spending money.
Gf at the time did the same. I live with my parent and never went out to eat. That saved a ton! We still never really go out, well we try not for 1 day a week.
It can be done. Pick up a side gig?

Euros (at least western europe, not talking about former Soviet states have a very flat wage structure. A German burger flipper makes more per hour than one in Alabama but computer engineers make like 4000 euros a month and that's considered a lot of money. The US is all about minmaxing your financial position.

I'm Swiss and even if our salaries are quite high, they all mostly fall in the same range.
An Aldi casheer will earn around 55k$ a year and a architect or engineer 100k$ and basically everyone else is in between.
Then you take taxes into account and the gap becomes even narrower.

I'm a bookseller who dropped school at 17 and have around 4200$ net a month once I deducted all the taxes (yearly taxes included) but my step sister has a master in economy and she's only at 5400$ net.
I'm still saving 25000$ a year and she's never had more than 10k to her name. The 20% higher salary is less important to lifestyle when it comes to afford traveling.

If you really do make 400 a month, I feel for you. I'd tried to start a business if I were you. You could completely fail at a business and still make more than 400 a month. You're great an English. You should offer some private lessons.

Instead of getting all bent out of shape that you can't jet off to Thailand and frick 3000 baht hookers every night, set realistic travel goals. If you want to travel cheap, you will first need to wipe that bad attitude off your face and put on an enthusiastic smile. Now that you are looking more likeable, you need to work on your people skills. Many people love hosting travelers; it is your job to find them and meet them. Some arrangements involve work in exchange for hosting, while others will host you out of the kindness of their hearts. If you are inveterately anti-social and hostile by default to others who think differently from you, don't even bother traveling.
