You can't be serious. Myrtle Beach is like the most crime ridden beach on the entire east coast. The violent crime rate is 3 times higher than the national average. I've seen articles where they rank it in the top 3 for most dangerous cities in the US per capita.

Areas with heavy tourism will have inflated crime rates, because the normalization uses only permanent residents when in fact there's actually a lot more people there than who permanently live there

I was born and raised in Myrtle beach and even we know we are the Little Caesars of beach towns. (Cheap yet gets the job done, and overrun by blacks). We do have good food though.

Do not go to broadway at the beach unless you are going to the aquarium. If you go to the aquarium, get in, get out, and go no further.
The state park beach is the best beach. Disregard the other beaches.

Can you dive in the Carolinas or do I have to go to Florida?
Lived there for one and a half years. It fucking sucked. If you insist on going there, I recommend:
1) Going to the beach in North Myrtle
2) Pizza: Geno's Real New York
3) Pub: Bumstead's Pub
4) Dancing: Tin Roof
5) Mediterranean: Mediterranean Bistro
6) Shopping: Tanger Outlets or Market Common
7) Hospital: If you require medical assistance, do not seek it anywhere near Myrtle Beach.
8) Broadway at the Beach has a lot of options, but it's mediocre and usually packed. I recommend avoiding it.
If you just want to go to the beach, Carolina Beach is my favorite. Downside is that it's a small town and is really only good for the beach.
Myrtle is probably the worst beach in South Carolina.
Most of South Carolina's coast is sea islands, and they are all far superior
Pick an island at random between Georgetown, SC and Savannah, it probably has a better beach

Honestly OP the place is a complete shit hole. Most of the tourist attractions are either overpriced or not very interesting. Just have fun on the beach, and if you have the opportunity to go deep sea fishing that's also worth doing
