Those who are always posting on social media, blogs, youtube channels, about their life travelling are posting nothing more than thinly veiled adverts that amount to pollution. Not only do they contribute nothing of value but you have to actively filter through them to find some meaingful, useful information elsewhere because every fricking moron now decided that faking a life as a meaingless "digital nomad" "influencer" is their path to an easy life and they boost this crap to the top of every search result. It is negative value to the world in every way possible. They are obviously producing adverts for services, hotels, etc, to get kickbacks, but more importantly they are advertising themselves by presenting a fake life. This is a desperate ploy to get (You) to unwittingly fund the life the life they want (what they present) but are unable to achieve.
The number one tip before you read a blog or video on anything really, spend a few mins to find out about who created it and decide if you would ever give a shit about some random vegan lgbtalphabetq+ w*mans opinion on what constitutes a good time. These moron bloggers, influencers, whatever trendy title, are always *without exception* the most narcissistic people. Who the frick would ever care what their opinion is in the first place? Have you ever tried to travel ? You quickly realise it's a full experience, especially when doing it a long time, the days last 24 hours and you have to live them.
I don't even know the couple posted and don't care about any youtubers, but I think they're still having fun and enjoying that shit way more than a regular job, watch netflix, argue about some stupid stuff, get fat and cope by having kids or buying items.
They just post whatever gives them views and money from people too scared to just try themselves.
Nothing wrong with a short trip once in a while but to do a 500+ day world tour is just ridiculous and self-sabotaging - how could you possibly appreciate mundane normal life after this?
I'm on my 2nd 18 months travel and it's fine. After that you're glad to go back home. I'm lucky I'm first world and can get a job easily to save money again anytime.
Life is good at home though, not a big fan of 40 hours work weeks but if I couldn't take breaks here and there I'd be even in a way worse mental state.
It's really weird to me that you think grinding a career to buy a house and 2 weeks in a resort every year then die from ass cancer in the end is a better life plan.
