because in 2023 autos are way faster than humans and more precise given you dont drive some shit like a cvt although i havent driven one i just heard theyre garbage. ive driven autos as old as 10 years and they shifted perfectly, and i didnt have to bother with changing gears which is great if youre actually using the car for its purpose, which is transportation.

Nowadays it's mostly contrarians claim they can control the car better than a computer that can function literally 1000 times fast than them, though it's been proven that electronic selectable autos are the best option. The only time manuals are better is before 1996 back when autos were legit shittier and sloppier than autos when OBD and ECU tech became standardized. In cars like pic related manuals were superior in many cases but not so in most modern cars.
