Is that Taroko Gorge?
That's the airport
But which one?
Give more hints will ya or else this thread is as good as dead. The only hint I can see from these images are chinese language. And from OP's pic, a generic pagoda. And Mainland China alone has thousands of them.
I think that pic was taken at Hong Kong airport, maybe. There was Chinese writing all over the place but I could've mistaken it as Beijing or Shanghai. I was in Hong Kong 10 years ago but I remember that roof's design and the departure gate. Never saw that weird robot/slide? though...
Ding ding ding!
It's the egg art piece there.
I just knew it from having walked across that bridge, dumb luck.
lmao you are right! I feel so dumb.

OP was standing at exactly this spot.
OP here, I thought this thread was dead.
Naming the general area for this one should be dead easy, but try to find the photo spot.
nice one.
That hill in the distance look suspiciously like Rock of Gibraltar
Carcassonne?
Thought so. It was the Rock of Gibraltar.

Castillo de Castellar de la Frontera's parking lot.
Nice one anon. It’s my pic and now even I can’t find the place on maps.
(can't paste google maps direct link because SighSee is moronic)

Somewhere here, overlooking Da Nang. Your Aquafina bottle (not many countries sells them), the plants (reminds me of plants common in SEA countries) and the skyline gave you away. But I can't confirm because that place don't have Street View.
Exactly right! Biking up the Hai Van pass from Da Nang, which you can see in the distance.
It's been a while since I played this game on SighSee
OP's pic a bit hard. Because China is like a different planet but everywhere feels the same. The pagoda/temple, the huge buddha doll, and the bridge will help. Wait a bit
This might be slightly harder.
My first guess is either Palestine or Jordan
Jordan is right. It's taken not too far from this town:
Okay found it

Ajloun Castle
Yep. Pretty hard. From the surroundings, I am 100% sure the pic was taken somewhere in Fertile Crescent. But the ruined building though, can be anything, from tombs, old forts, castles, mosques, old churches, anything. Because literally everything there are in ruins. But those three guys look like tourists, so most likely the ruins are within a safe zone, and hold historical values instead of a random building within a conflict zone damaged by bombs. So most likely Jordan. But Oman is a possibility too...
have a go
I'll start looking for hints, starting with that red vehicle and blue tower in the distance. I can't rely on the building at the center because it look too generic. But I do get some European vibes from this pic. Probably Italy, Germany, or somewhere around Danube River. Or maybe North America...
munich
very nice, anons. from my trip last summer
what gave it away?
The red vehicle seems to be Volkswagen so I went straight to Germany for obvious reasons. Then I looked for any cities with rivers as wide as that. Then I looked for any islands or estuaries that looked like that. The anon above mentioned Munich too so I spend more time looking at that city. That's how I found it.
i'd been planning a trip there ages ago and recognised the river

Isartreppen
we used to call this place OJ like Simpson
At least tell us if that’s NM or Arizona
It's absolutely Mexico. They're the only ones who make absolutely everything including fenceposts out of cement. But where? I have no idea. Could be any of the northern states.
You might be correct. I searched for road signs and Mexican "End of Pavement" road sign looks exactly like that. And 'alto' is a spanish word too. Will concentrate on northwest Mexico, around Baja. Hopefully I will find it
It might be an old picture. A lot of the dirt roads in Baja have been upgraded to pavement in the last 10 years.
>OJ like Simpson
Was that a hint or to mislead anons? The Bronco chase never went into any deserted area.
Gave up for now. Jumping around featureless desert using Street View gave me mild depression. I hate sand. But I'm convinced it is around Baja. The road sign, white fenceposts, single yellow stripe road divider, random white pavement by the roadside, the 'alto' word.

Who are you stalking anon?
Cool thread
Berlin?
Too lowres to make of anything but the building on the right is definitely Armenian
Well done Anons, it is Yerevan.
Okay so the wording on the right building is definitely Մր․ Հուկա or Mr. Hookah. And when I typed "Mr. Hoo" on Google Maps, it autocorrected to "Mr. Hookah" and brought me straight to Yereven. But the problem is, Yereven don't have reliable Street View, and the building where Mr. Hookah's placemarker is on, doesn't look even closely similar to that pic.
Another comfy one from the same trip.
That's a pretty big roman theatre
4u
Never heard of any Roman theatre in Armenia though?
Is that Antiphellos, in what is now Kas, Turkey?
Good job anon. Kaş is a gem.
Come on man... No landmarks? No definitive hints? That can be anywhere in Cambodia (Vital Drinking Water can only be found in Cambodia and surrounding countries).
Maybe an easy one? Or not.
Switzerland, I would guess the Aigle/Yvorne region.
Right country, well done. But wrong region. Well, wrong canton and wrong side of the mountains, at least.
Good thread
I’m guessing Faroe, tryna find exact hill
Nope! Try further south-east but still in Europe. Might not be enough context to guess. Here's an accessory.
Easy mode
Indeed lol. Just googled "red and white lighthouse on white rocks" and The Needles came out first.

it could use a cleaning but still cool. God I love monument valley, played through it like 5 times since i was young, definitely influenced my architectural taste

Panna Meena Ka Kund, Amer, Rajasthan, India
Not interested in India but the place is too overrated for its own good.
26.991228,75.851212
Jaipur. Nothing else worth seeing is there.
Now this is a rare one. Most people won't recognize this because that island is very underrated. I went there for snorkelling.

That's the petronas tower(s) in the back so somewhere in koala lampur

This one is too easy. Petronas Towers are just too iconic.

At first I thought it's a museum or gallery. Like Guggenheim or something. Then I remembered I saw it from an architecture magazine. Turns out its a small contemporary chapel and I was right.
It's Kammpi Chapel, Helsinki.

Grave of the Fourty Seven Ronins?
Well done
This is Upstream Sydney, I think? I'll check
Australian roads aren't usually that light - looks American. Texas - Arkansas somewhere?
i only knew it because i was there in that exact spot last summer
One more for laughs. Maybe easy, maybe not.
Looks like Istanbul & I think I can see a little cat house which would fit, but the asian characters are throwing me a little bit.
You got it—it‘s Istanbul. Was it just the cat house that clued you in, or is there something else about this pic that says Istanbul to you?
Just a feel, the cat houses scream Turkey and it looks like any random alley you could walk down near Taksim/surrounds.
Sorry big boi, the snails and the water were the clues but I guess there’s nothing specific. You’re right, it’s Cambodia. Specifically somewhere around 13.298905, 103.829566
Is it tasty? The snails.
Not him, but I’ve had Cambodian and several other snails. They basically just taste like whatever you dress them with. Garlic butter, chili paste and fish sauce, etc. It’s more of a texture thing (very chewy, slightly rubbery).
Hint: it’s viewed from a train

Creepy little house
That pic must be from years ago. It's Texas Chicken now

There is only one Petaling Street in this world
That's the bridge in Ghent. Too easy if you've ever been there.
I like her style.
Taberna Madeira was too easy to google.
Possibly makes it too easy, dunno
